Ok, so I was hungry and for some strange reason, I felt like having a Chalupa from Taco Bell. I usually stay away from Taco Bell because most of them are not clean. I've never been to the place in Show Low before and figured that I might as well try it out since that is what I was craving. Ok, I went in and there was a young lady wiping down tables and cleaning the restaurant. By the time that I got to the counter, she was there to take my order. She was very pleasant and waited for me to make my mind on what I was having. I ordered the Chicken Chalupa meal deal. To be honest, I think that it is a little overpriced, but this is what I wanted. I went over to get my fountain drink and by the time I got to my table a young man came over and handed my food to me and said thanks, have a great night. Food was really good, fresh ingredients, the staff were very nice and the restaurant was very clean. I haven't gone into this Taco Bell before, but I will without a doubt, return again some other time. Oh, yeah, the Chalupas were really good!!

Yes, boys and girls, this is a fast food restaurant which is also locally owned. We tried this restaurant because it is in the old Jalapeño's location and we really liked Jalapeño's which this restaurant is not even close to food wise. Which doesn't mean that is a bad restaurant. Ok, let's backup. We, meaning my wife and me first tried this restaurant after it first opened. The staff was friendly but they were just learning the menu so we didn't fault them for that because the menu was a little overwhelming. Whenever we try a new restaurant that has spaghetti (you know noodles and marinara sauce) I try it because it doesn't get much simpler than that. Alas, a simple marinara sauce is hard to make and if you can buy it off a truck it is cheaper. This was bought off a truck and I was disappointed. My wife told me that this is an express Mexican restaurant, what did I expect? More was my response. Fast forward three months and our retry. Our rule is any restaurant can have a bad day so we always try it twice a few months apart. My wife told me no pasta! I always do what my wife tells me as we all do and I did not have pasta. I had another simple dish. A cheese and bean burrito. My wife had two fried flour tacos and she said that hers were very good and she didn't try the salsa. Bandido's has a salsa bar that has chips if you want chips and salsa. I like salsa but alas I was spoiled when I was a child by being brought up in the Taco House neighborhood in St. Paul, MN where the best salsa anywhere, period, is made. They use hatch chili's that they bring in by the truck load from New Mexico. My mouth waters as I think about Taco House. My brothers and me have spent many hours eating Taco House cuisine. Back to bandido's. Bandido's salsa I tried and it complimented the Cheese and Bean Burrito very well. In short we both liked the mexican part of the restaurant just don't get the pasta unless you just get noodles and butter., The noodles by themselves were ok.

Short 8 mile drive from Snowy River Inn Motel. Menu is literally on the wall, but the food is quite good..Servings were quite large, so I had some great leftovers the next day. I really liked the Chili Relleno stuffed with melted cheese, and covered in sauce. Very busy location due to drive-thru attached to the outside wall.

Located in a shopping strip by CALS had a very promising soup menu. Not really in the mood for much Mexican so zoomed in on the cheese crisp with green chilis. SURPRISE! Thought I would get a nicely toasted cheese crisp with strips of green chilis, pick up in pieces and snack away... but instead received a soggy cheese covered tortilla slathered with a green chili sauce which made dining with a knife and fork to somehow eat the mess. Less than appetizing. Would not return.Live music (typical local karokee guy).

Don't plan on a dinner night here as they've started closing at 4:30pm. But, you can get a decent sandwich with good service for lunch. They're available for breakfast if you have an early tee-time. I recommend the burgers. Plenty of fries come with them. Beer is nice and cold.

There's a fair amount of Mexican restaurants in the White Mountains. This place has friendly staff and good food. Prices are fair. The waitress recommended the stuffed sopapilla which just happened to be one of the specials. The shredded beef was very tender. (See attached photos for the daily specials.) Another table ordered some fajitas which, as you would expect, came out sizzling. They have a few desserts that you don't typically see in most Mexican restaurants. I'm not bothered by the fact it's in a strip mall as long as the service and the food are good which it was.

"An excellent restaurant that is apparently under new management".
Every thing we had there over the summer of 2018 was good. Beef used in tacos and enchiladas is flavored well. Portions are generous. Service was always timely and efficient. Good salsa bar. Prices reasonable. Go there if you want good food that won't break the bank.

My wife and I decided to try this place for the first time. Very surprised. The nicest decor of any Mexican restaurant we've been to. Nicely decorated. Renee was our server and did a great job. The food was delicious. The bean dip special.... I know we will return to this place.

Make sure you donât judge this place by the generic exterior, because the inside is amazing and the food is very good! We were greeted and seated promptly, service was outstanding, and everything was good. I had a margarita and it was perfect and was followed by a complimentary watermelon shot that was delicious and was generous on the alcohol for sure. I ordered the steak fajitas and they were also very good and more than I could finish.Only concern that night, July 20th, was the spicyness of the salsa. My parents, who live in the area and eat here often, said the salsa with the chips was too spicy and not the usual. Fortunately, I like spicy and I enjoyed it, but as someone else mentioned (during the same week we visited) the salsa was not the regular recipe and had more spice.
