I have tried a bunch of taqueria's over the years in West Sonoma County and for the price, this little restaurant is great. Especially if you order the TACOS (pollo asado is yum)....freshly grilled meat, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, radish and lime on two corn tortillas (each taco)...no rice or beans in tacos. Fresh. Fresh. Fresh. I require a fork until they are small enough to fold! And how much? $4 plus tx for TWO tacos! My family loves their burritos, Chili Relleno dishes and Mexican breakfasts. The place is not fancy and the food is simply prepared but the family-run establishment hits the spot. If you're hankering for more sophisticated cuisine, try Martha's Old Mexico in town but for a yum affordable meal, stop by El Tarasco (right across the street from D's Diner).

They seem to be very new in the Barlow and know their tacos. We tries simple tacos, that come two to a plate with chips and two salsas. Order and find an outside table. Unusual to us is the addition of pickled onions which went very well with either the chicken or pork. Not a fan of one dark colored salsa, but the other was great.

Viva Mexicana did a wonderful job catering my son's 30th birthday. We rented a home nearby and were having a difficult time finding anyone who would deliver. I contacted the owner, Sima, and she was fantastic. I liked her so much, I had her cater two nights in a row. On Friday, we ordered a variety of burritos and several batches of their salsas. They were all delicious! On Saturday, we had tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, and viva salads. Again, everything was wonderful. Communication with Sima was so easy. Delivery was right on time. If you are looking for catering in the Sebastopol area, I would highly recommend Viva Mexicana.

Martha's offers a fresh, but still traditional, take on Mexican menu offerings. The selection is large and moderately priced ($15 entrées). The seating out back in wooden booths is nice when the weather is good. The one thing that needs work is their chips - thick and flavorless compared to other Mexican eateries. But the salads are crisp and the vegetarian options are decent. I recommend the Spinach enchiladas.
