My husband loves to stop here for a quick lunch while we're out shopping or running errands in Sanford. The staff is always friendly and very accommodating. The food is good and they have lots of things to satisfy everyone. Th eplace is always bright and clean.
To start with I have heard conflicting opinions on this restaurant so I went here today for lunch. First off the place rocked it out of the park. Best salsa in town. Great Tortas and chimichangas. The staff was very friendly and the place although small was cozy and clean. Although not in the best neighborhood it didn't bother me or my family. Truly authentic Mexican food. The portions were large and the price was good. I was very happy they spoke English since my Spanish is subpar. We will definitely be back!!!

I live nearby and dine here 2-3 times a month. It is authentic Mexican food, the best! It is a small, family business that tries to please its customers. Owner and staff are Latino, probably Mexican, and may not be fully fluent in English. Be patient; it will be worth it! Don't be mislead by the cinder-block building or the surroundings, not the best part of town. I have never been disappointed with my food. Great pupusas, tacos, tamales, salsas, and the BEST guacamole!

We were in the mood for Mexican food this evening and having recently returned from California where Mexican food is always awesome, had difficulty in deciding where we would get our "fix." My wife had heard about a new place on Rand St that I had not heard of. It turns out we had been there before but it has since changed names and management. The name of the restaurant is now Tres Banderas. The name means, "Three Flags". In front of the restaurant flies 3 flags. The US flag, the Mexican flag, and the Christian flag. I was impressed with this display of allegiance and faith, and even more impressed when I saw that the front of the menu had a short story explaining the importance of the three flags. Very impressive! When we were seated, the host immediately brought chips and salsa. He even brought a separate container of child's salsa for my 4-year-old without my requesting it. She was thrilled and again, I was impressed. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. There were food specials as well as drink specials posted at the entrance advertising great discounts. It was really nice. We enjoyed our meal greatly. I had an order of beef taquitos with guacamole salad and rice. It is difficult to find "good" taquitos on the East Coast and these were quite good. I enjoyed dining at Tres Banderas tonight and plan for a revisit soon. See you there!

Came here for lunch the other week and was blown away at the menu options, flavorful fare (even the complimentary hand cooked chips and salsa), friendly service and reasonable prices. A must-stop when in Tramway, and even worth going out of your way for. Viva San Felipe!

I was in a home bind yesterday at lunch: lots to accomplish in just a short time. The host was understanding and very helpful. He took my order immediately and I left to run my errands. My order was ready just as I walked back in the door! We ordered the mixed chicken and beef fajitas and a side of guacamole. Both excellent. Plan on going back to eat in when I can find time.

Our visit with friends for dinner and drinks was over all ok. The margaritas were excellent and very reasonable. My wife's meal was good but my chimmchuga was dry and tasteless. Would have like something both on the outside and inside to give some flavor. Will try again and maybe something different.
