Wonderful place with excellent food, and great portions all at a great price. Ramon sure knows how to make great Mexican food, you can not go wrong with Elvira's, doesn't matter if you are at the restaurant or his food cart always the best Mexican food around.

They have the best nacho chips. Home made. Delightful salsa. Light and refreshing. I had the combo plate, and it was more than I could eat. Rice was really good, and I mashed in my beans to go with it. yum. My platter had a taco (made with the same components as the chips), with beef, lettuce, cheese, sour cream and some salsa. Second item was a burrito--not huge, but it was more than sufficient given the size of all the rest. A tostada, plus the rice and beans rounded this out. Service was excellent and very friendly. Food was hot. Fresh.
Not having eaten here before understanding the menu left a lot to be desired. In fact, needed the assistance of the counter person to help order. Both our Chicken and Grilled Steak Burritos tasted quite good but the Chicken and the Steak could be served much warmer than it was. Felt like it had been sitting for a very long time before being served. Our Cheese only Quesadilla could have used a lot more cheese in it and some of the Quesadilla was placed on a huge dollop of guacamole and sour cream placed in the bowl beforehand and not asked for or appreciated.

Went through the drive through. Ordered a taco salad. The poor server didn't have it together. The lid was placed but not secured. The fork slid off the top of the salad lid. She didn't have a bag for it, and when I asked for hot sauce, she handed me a fistful. No napkins either. Salad had little meat (less than usual, and shell seemed stale. Oh well...that's life.
