Reviews on Mexican food in Saint Simons Island, Georgia, United States. Enveloped by expansive beaches, moss-draped oaks, and salt marshes, Saint Simons Island, part of the Golden Isles chain near Brunswick, is a nearly 18 square mile island, once dominated by rice and cotton plantations. Today, it’s a recreation wonderland with superb championship golf courses, miles of bicycle paths, great fishing, historic sites, and excellent restaurants. If you love golf, you’ll love Saint Simons Island, which is home to the 18-hole King and Prince Golf Course and 27-hole Sea Palms Golf & Tennis Resort. Nearby are 234 more holes of golf at popular spots like the 63-hole Jekyll Island Golf Club and 36-hole Sea Island Golf Club. Anglers have lots of opportunities to fish in the rivers, tidal creeks, sounds and the Atlantic Ocean. You’ll find charters and guides at the Golden Isles Marina, and you can also fish off the St. Simons Island Pier and surf cast on stretches of beach on the island’s north end. For such a compact island, Saint Simons is brimming with historic sites. Don’t miss the Saint Simons Lighthouse, where you can climb the 129 steps for a magnificent view of the island; the Fort Frederica National Monument, which has remnants of the British fort built in the 1700s; and the Bloody Marsh Battle Site, where the Spanish defeated the British in 1742.

MAS is a taco & tequila bar adjacent to Ember Farm to Fire. We serve fresh, Mexican inspired street food. We have the largest tequila selection in Glynn County, and a barkeep who can help you find your perfect sip.
Post-modern interpretation of tacos and Tex-Mex food. Most unique food we had was made of Doritos, cucumbers, nuts, hot sauce, and Sour Patch Kids - served to us in the Doritos bag! Lots of interesting tacos on authentic corn tortillas. The downside for us, though, was how dry the dishes were. The flavors and experience could be brightened with some salsas, dressings, or oil to make the dishes a bit more moist.

This is a cafeteria style, make-as-you-order restaurant (no table service). The food is fresh and prepared in generous portions. There is also a salsa bar with several sauce options. The dining room is functional but more fast food style. There are several tables outside which are my preference on warm days. This is not a date night kind of place, but great when you want good, fast Mexican fare.

Chips and salsa brought to table almost immediately. Mango margaritas are very tasty. Food is well priced and good for the Island. Not the worst but not the best Mexican.

There is no doubt that this restaurant serves authentic Mexican food. And there are lots of choices on the menu. We both had Fajitas and they were so delicious and well prepared. The service was excellent! This place has a charming atmosphere. We have been to Mexico several times and the food at Blue Bay is comparable. We love this place and will continue to keep it on our favorites list.

We were on the last night of vacation and hadnât tried this place yet. We were tired and decided to do take out. I called our order in and in 10 mins was ready. We had 2 taco platters and a order of guacamole. I wish I would have tried it earlier In our trip. I would have had it multiple times. We had steak, beef and fish tacos and all of them were great! The guacamole was very fresh tasting too. I apologize for the delayed response! Thank you very much for taking the time to give us some positive feedback. You made a good move choosing Moms Guacamole! We hope to have you back in on your next trip!Gabriela MartinezGeneral Manager

Fantastic. Great lunch with all the traditional favorites. We knew we had selected an authentic spot, as it was the choice of many local Hispanics. We will be regulars.

We were riding bikes and got caught in a sudden squall so stopped in for a beer to wait out the rain. Nice outdoor seating area under cover, plus lots of seating indoors. Limited selection of brews on tap. Nice menu...we opted for chips and guacamole. Chips were pretty soggy and guac was uninspired--no spice or anything...put the salsa on it and then some hot sauce...oh well. At least we were out of the rain and the beer was cold.
