Came here on an August afternoon for dinner. The weather was perfect with little humidity and the outdoor seating was wonderful. I had the tilapia with red sauce and my friend had the spicy shrimp in red sauce. We both enjoyed our dishes tremendously. One thing I have to say about this place is the outdoor chairs! They are made of metal and people just pushed them around, making this loud screeching sound like chalks on a board. It really dampens the enjoyment from the food and atmosphere.

Service was prompt and friendly.Cuisine was very bland except for the overly-salty chicken in both the enchilada and poblano entrees. The red sauce was slightly metallic and lacking in flavor (a canned sauce?). There are better Mexican restaurants in the same price range in the Dewey/Rehoboth/Lewes area. We won't be back to El Azteca.

I'm a constant visitor to Rehoboth Beach and I have tried most of the "Mexican" restaurants and if you are looking for authentic delicious food, this is the place! I'm never disappointed with Cilantro's. If you are looking for Tex-Mex type food where they just slap some rice and beans on a plate you may want to go elsewhere. The food here is delicious and you can tell its made from scratch. Hence sometimes you may have to wait a little longer than your usual places. Even the drinks are made from scratch, no watered down drinks here. I've tried alot of dishes but my favorites are the chile relleno de queso or their mole with chicken. My husbands favorite starter is the Ceviche followed by the chicken enchiladas verdes. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it! I can't wait to be back again!

Spacious Mexican restaurant with a vast menu including seafood, stone grills & margaritas. Check out our new second location, 18766 John J Williams Hwy Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
Went on a Sunday for lunch and ordered off their lunch menu (cheaper) but still had a great quesadilla. You get warm chips and tasty salsa for free. Corona was not too expensive either. Our waiter was very friendly and hilarious. They have a bar area too if you want to watch a football game. Its a few blocks up from the boardwalk but not a bad walk. Would highly recommend!

Best Mexican food in Delaware
You can tell the people who work here really care about the product and the service. Food is excellent and service is outstanding. Lots of variety on the menu. My husband had trout that was smothered in fresh vegetables and I had a seafood extravaganza where I could make my own taco out of lobster, scallops and shrimp. Really great.

Expected to go and eat good Margaritas and tacos after creating the reviews. Got really different and really good spicy white Sangria. Could sit and drink that all afternoon. Then decided to try the nutritional chicken after reading all the interesting ingredients. Soooooo good! Great visit made all the better by our server Eric who shared his insights on the food and just made the visit all the more fun and enjoyable with his awesome personality! Oh the guacamole was a amazing!
