Weekend evening -- management was welcoming and venue is colorful, but noisy.Large groups challenged server efficiency, prices were reasonable and portions were large. However, meal prep was not excellent. Guac was small serving and gummy, beef was tough and unseasoned, and other dishes were somewhat bland. Not bad, but not outstanding.

This is a great spot to stop for Mexican Food for lunch or dinner. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. Before your meal you will enjoy the chips and salsa. All of the dishes are very good and well priced for what you get. I particularly like the enchiladas and tacos. You canât go wrong with anything you order.Service is quick and friendly. The ambiance is nothing special, but the food is.
Arrived at our hotel, after 4 hour drive and decided to pop out for a take out... Chipotle was only a 10 minute walk away so let's go!As always a lovely warm welcome...I decided on burrito with brown rice, steak and guac, with some veggies... And of course some chips! So son went for the chicken bowl...all wrapped up and back at the hotel we opened and WOW as always a great taste and still hot!I nearly ate all of mine ;-)Perfect food highly recommend!

MESA URBANA BISTRO FEATURING MEXICAN FUSION Mesa's Global Cuisine, bustling ambiance, handcrafted cocktails, colorful decor are in keeping with Chicago's finest dining spots. Conveniently located on the North Shore.
First, the food is more interesting than typical Mexican dining, probably because of the fusion component. The menu isn't huge, and it doesn't need to be. The tequila list isn't pages long, but has plenty to choose from. But the food is absolutely outstanding. We had teriyaki chicken in lettuce wrap tacos and the salmon, both resulting in clean plates. The lava cake for desert, which comes with ice cream was similarly devoured. The quac to start comes with an interesting array of shaved radishes for dipping. Finally, our waiter Gary was an absolute dream, attentive and funny and helpful. I don't know how i have missed going to this place; it is fabulous.

The food was good and the service was outstanding as well. I was not a huge fan of the house margarita because I thought it was too sweet but my wife liked it. I would go back for the food and the beer prices werenât too bad.

This is located in a primarily Mexican shopping area that is across from the Country Inn and Suites. We ate here for lunch. The food was good. This is authentic Mexican and the menu was mostly in Spanish. There wasn't any descriptions of the food, but there were a few photos. It was different for us, because around where we come from, the Mexican food has been tailored to Americans, so I had hard time figuring out what I wanted. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. For those that want authentic, this may be a good choice (I think we were the only non-Hispanic people there at the time).

This place was recommended by a friend who lives in the area. Went on a weeknight with three others and we were seated immediately. Pleasant place with a small bar (maybe 10-12 stools). Without collusion, three of us settled on "Mia's Enchiladas." You can choose any combination of filling: cheese, chicken or ground beef. Accompanied by potatoes and carrots, you also have your choice of sauces. I went with the mole. The whole thing, with lettuce, cheese and sour cream, was delicious. Dessert was donuts! I shared 5 small donuts with another eater. They came with cinnamon dusting and a chocolate dipping sauce. Add a good selection of beers and specialty drinks and you have a nice Mexican dinner. I'm told there is another one of these in another suburban town. If I'm near either, I'm stopping in to take another pass at this delicious-looking menu. Service was great. Parking is on-street but was not a problem. About $25 apiece including drinks and dessert.

Salsa 17 Grill & Margarita Bar unites an enjoyable atmosphere, gourmet dishes, delicious drinks, and a knowledgeable staff to provide a delightfully satisfying authentic Mexican dining experience. We use the best quality ingredients in preparing the fines
I live near Harvard and my best friend lives in Chicago. This is a perfect mid-point for us to both take the train and meet in Arlington Heights. There are quite a few very good dining spots here, but Salsa 17 has become our favorite. Not the least reason is a server, Marisol, that we've been lucky enough to have most times we're there. The prices are just a scooch high, but not enough to go somewhere else. The Margaritas are terrific, incuding a "skinny" low cal version. I've had several dishes, and everyone has been very good, so have no apprehension at ordering your favorite, feeling confident that it will be satisfying and filling. I can't pick a favorite yet, I'm still experimenting with something different every time we go.Tableside prepared Guacamole is very tasty and fresh. Even when very crowded, service is good and attentive.

Family got together for a little celebration here. The creations were very interesting but liked authentic Mexican flavor. Several dishes were a mish mosh of ingredients that added up to something-just not real Mexican.
