The evening of 12/2/14 I went to this restaurant to get dinner, it took 21 minutes just to start making my order, which I ordered inside the store. The folks in the drive thru were served with in 5 minutes, I watched the cars that were in line when I arrived leave with food. After waiting all this time, the shift manager actually gave the couple who came in after me their food before me; I said something to her about this and she said "Well they only got the roll ups so they got their food faster". I asked for my money back, and said you might have sold a $1 item but I'm leaving with my $12 in my pocket, real good business. Still got another smart remark from her "Oh Well"Don't go to this location

We've lived nearby for many years and never paid much attention to this restaurant. It's kind of hidden a strip mall and naturally, Mexican places Chuys are more inviting from the outside. I have to say that unlike most reasonably priced Mexican restaurants, this place is not just meat/rice/beans in a thousand different forms. They are a step above. We've eaten here about 7 times in the past few months and find their food to be fresh and their menu more creative than your "normal" Mex joint. Their fajitas are actually VERY good as are their churros.
Salsarita's Fresh Mexican Grill offers burritos, tacos, nachos, salads, as well as our addictive chips with your choice of salsa, guacamole, or queso. It's all made fresh daily!
This store was clean, much cleaner than the Salsarita's in Bristol, Va. The music was way too loud. The service was not good. I approached the counter and was rushed, even though there was no one behind me. The server was rude to me. The food was good and hot. They give a good amount, not too much and not too little. One more comparison, the Bristol, Va store gives you so much food you leave feeling overstuffed, not that problem here, which isn't a complaint, it was the right amount of food. I like that they have the bottles of sauce for you to use. However, they take the old used bottles of sauce and put salt in them, that is very hard to use. It is nearly impossible to use without getting too much and I like lots of salt.

We try to visit this El Chico whenever we are near Knoxville and it's never disappointed. The El Chico menu hasn't changed much through the years, but that's one of it's charms. This is classic Tex-Mex that I remember from childhood. Visit while you can. All the El Chicos in the Nashville have closed in recent years.

We ate dinner here and it was pretty good. There were several variations for the combo platters. I ordered 1 burrito, enchilada and taco and it was good food for a reasonable price. A couple of the guys in the group ordered a pitcher of the top shelf margaritas and they said they were really good. It was busy for a week night, so that must mean it's good, right?
If it's fresh Mexican you want, we've got it. Signature saucy burritos, house made salsas, wildly addictive chips, great combinations, and family specials. All made your way with toppings galore. Plus ... fresh-made guacamole.
Always a pleasure to be served here. Staff pleasant, clean and fast. Generous portions and a great rewards program.

I have lived close to this restaurant for 2 1/2 year and never tried it and so decided to give it a shot for a lunch meal.We atmosphere is very nice and appropriately decored like most Mexican restaurants. We were seated quickly and brought chips in our drinks promptly. The chips were pretty good and the salsa average. I ordered the Chimichanga with ground beef. It came with rice and beans as usual. The chimichanga was very bland and literally was just a bunch of ground beef in a burrito that was mildly deep fried. Even with some salsa poured on it the flavor was still lacking. The beans were almost runny and bland as well. The rice needed the salsa to come somewhat flavorful. I donât like writing reviews like this however, it just wasnât very good food and definitely a below average chimichanga.
