It was a small place, but it was decent. The restaurant was clean and the service was fine. Good Mexican food, and the prices were ok.

Finding this location during a week-long stay in Absecon was easy, and getting my order was quick and terrific from the service-friendly staff at the drive through.My beef taco salad was placed in a box, which is an upgrade from the two-part packaging that always detaches during travels.I know it's supposed to be easy getting food at drive-through windows, but sometimes staff are not so nice. This group, the food, and service get an A+.

Good reviews helped us find what we were craving tonight. Again, upon some recommendations found here, we ordered the Chicken Rancheros which was cheesy and covered with chorizo and the Tinga Chicken Chimichanga was huge and was delicious with a side of guacamole. The complimentary chips and salsa were tasty and added to the overall good meal. Large portions left us to full for dessert. Cool place and plenty of parking. Service was friendly and efficient.

Many of the best Mexican restaurants we've patronized over the years have been tucked away in strip malls - and it is a pleasure to include La Escondita in that group. The food is fresh, tasty, and nicely presented. The standard margaritas are outstanding. Staff are uniformly friendly, pleasant, attentive and helpful. The decor is decidedly south of the border - bright, colorful and cheerful. Excellence abounds - with reasonable prices. We recommend La Escondido without reservation!

First time eating here & it surely wonât be my last. This place is phenomenal! I highly recommend the âtostones con ropa viejaâ for your starter. Moderately priced, great, friendly service, authentic Latin cuisine & super clean. I would go back again & again & again. Our server Lourdes was wonderful & made my experience a great one. YOU GOTTA TRY THIS FOOD!!!
