At Taco John's®, we serve traditional Mexican food-with a twist. By fusing bold American flavors with south-of-the-border spice, we've defined our signature menu. From our trademark Potato Olés® and freshly prepared tacos to our infamous breakfast burrito
This is a very good Taco Johns. Food is always fresh and tasty. Today I had a breakfast burrito which was quite good and coffee was excellent.
We went to El Loro a few days ago and were very pleased. I had a combination lunch plate (chalupa, enchilada and cheese quesadilla) and my wife had the fajitas. All of it was very tasty. The homemade chips and two types of salsa were also very good. Cost for lunch items seems to run $8 or $9 - well worth it considering the quality of the food.

Owatonna's premier Mexican restaurant. Owned by four brothers from the state of Jalisco in Mexico, they offer traditional and modern Mexican favorites. You'll find everything you recognize and love to new and exciting dishes designed to inspire your passi
We have eaten at Don Juanâs several times and have had a great experience each time. The owners and all of the servers are very pleasant and make you feel welcome. When you are seated, they bring you a basket of warm nacho chips and a bowl of salsa, which is addicting! They donât hesitate to refill the basket or bowl if you ask, or if they see it is empty. Their food is good. They donât have a huge menu, but they have plenty of choices for a good Mexican food meal. Their servings are generous - my husband and I have shared a meal a number of times and have had more than enough. The food is always hot when it arrives at the table. If you like margaritas, be sure to order one at Don Juanâs. They seriously have the absolute best margaritas in town!! Try one of their lime margaritas and you will have a new favorite. Their service is pretty good, but we have found it to be a little slow from time-to-time; usually when they have two or three larger groups dining and I think that is to be expected. We wouldnât hesitate to recommend Don Juanâs to others.

Grace's Tex-Mex in Owatonna, MN (or, to the locals, just Grace's) is quirky. Or maybe quirky on steroids. It's a little place that packs a big bang for your dollar. How so? Read on...PARKING: Well, parking assumes that you have driven there. And Grace's is NOT easy to find--it's almost like it was hidden away where it is on purpose. Best way to describe it: about three blocks due North of Key Power Sports, which itself sits adjacent to I-35 just East of the second Owatonna exit (same thing coming on the freeway from either direction--there are a total of three Owatonna exits). Look for a little blue building on the left that doesn't look anything like a restaurant, and you're there. Parking is ample, but during busy times it tends to stack up in two rows and people have been known to get boxed in from time to time.AMBIANCE: Grace's is just plain fun. It is also just plain small--like eating in a phone booth, or maybe a Volkswagen microbus. I think it seats 50 or so but those 50 need to get along VERY well. No such thing as intimate private conversations at Grace's considering that you're within elbow-distance of the next table (no booths there) no matter where you sit. Décor is an oddball mixture of Mexican-type wall-hangings, a poster of the various kinds of peppers they use, and a huge picture on one wall of a WWII P-40 fighter plane The restaurant is not overly fancy but it is clean, and the warm smell of the kitchen hits you as soon as you open the door. Open it slowly though--if there's a line for the cash register the door will swing right into it. SERVICE: In a word, excellent. Grace, the owner, still cooks at least some of the time (and has been apparently doing so for close to 50 years now) but the action on the floor is directed by Grace's daughter Cindy, a sort of Waitress - Maitre'D - Traffic Cop combination who directs a herd (well, maybe three or four) of attractive young ladies who sometimes wear T-shirts with the restaurant logo, and sometimes not. Service is quick, pleasant and efficient: the menu shows up as soon as you're seated, your order is taken and the food shows up quickly. We've eaten there often and the average wait for a meal after ordering is probably, at most, 10 minutes, and usually under that.To call Grace's laid-back is an understatement. Example; about two years ago when dining there I ordered, the food showed up but no silverware on the table. Cindy was nearby so I asked if she could bring some. After a boisterous laugh that the entire restaurant heard she said "not so loud! Everybody will want some!" FOOD: True to the name "Tex-Mex". Excellent if you like that kind of food (I do), very well-prepared and in adequate to more than adequate portions. The menu has the kind of stuff you'd expect; tacos, enchiladas, taco salad, burritos, etc. etc. An interesting thing about the food at Grace's is that it is all prepared from scratch. The place is only open four days per week (Wednesday through Saturday) but Mondays and Tuesdays are spent in preparation. All salsa is made on-site with raw, fresh ingredients, a lot of which are purchased locally. Tortilla chips (order a bowl with salsa as an appetizer) are likewise made on-site and served hot. Food is served on a rainbow of different-colored dishes, cups and bowls--never the same combination twice. Oh--a couple more things: besides being open only four days a week the hours they are open are from 11:00 AM to 7:50 PM. Odd hours. And their wall clock is set 10 minutes fast, I think on purpose. I don't know why.COST: Low. Maybe a couple of bucks per meal more than it costs to eat at, say, McDonald's. We ate there two nights ago; two taco salads and hot tea set us back $17 plus tip, for a total of $20. More than worth the cost.BOTTOM LINE: Homey, informal, fun--and good. What's not to like?

We were greeted and seated immediately. Waiter Anthony was very helpful and gave some good suggestions. Were served out meals in a very short time, and very hot to touch. Tavern Baked spaghetti was awesome, as well as the tavern meatloaf. When we left, several staff people thanked us for eating there. They went out of their way to thank us. Not like some places, once you left the money and tip, they forget about you. Other places could learn from this location.

Mexican, Tex Mex and American Restaurant
Fresh and authentic Mexican food! On our most recent visit, we arrived at just the right time for $5 jumbo margaritas, the perfect accompaniment to our meal. Our waiter was friendly and had a fantastic memory! He carried no notepad, yet he remembered that details of 10 different people's orders and where to bring them. The food arrives sizzling hot and so delicious!
