My wife and I ate here on a very busy Sunday afternoon. It was packed. Parking is inadequate for the number of would-be diners--many people had to park and walk some distance. Access into the restaurant is not the best for handicapped diners. We and six other arrivals stood and were completely ignored by the busy staff for 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence. Evidently, many members of the service staff do not speak English and will not make eye contact or acknowledge any spoken word. The actual waiters were competent, pleasant and English speaking; however, they were extremely overworked and hurried. On the whole, service was very slow from beginning to end. We waited before seating and we waited for the check. While dining, we were harrassed by house flies. The food was OK. We were told by the staff on the hotel service desk that it was the best Mexican in Black Mountain. I'll take their word for it, it probably is the best in Black Mountain, but it is nothing special. My wife and I will not be going back--it was not the most pleasant dining experience.

Stopped by for lunch after a long drive and what a great meal. The enchiladas were hot and the tamale was huge. Margaritas were good, not overly sweet or tart. Portions were pretty large for the price and the decor was very festive. Plenty of parking available in the shopping center where Nopales is located.

Very large platters of food. Nice variety of dishes to choose from. All of the dishes we tried were good. The fajitas were sizzling hot but the enchiladas were only lukewarm. Service was excellent.

It was late at night, and there were very few options near our retreat center. We went through the drive through at this Taco Bell. I enjoy Nachos Bell Grande from time to time. This location made the best Nachos Bell Grande I have ever had. There were actual ingredients on them. Our local Taco Bell is very skimpy with toppings. I enjoyed my drive through meal very much and would recommend this location, if you are on the road!
