Fruitiland is bright yellow building with no interior seating. There are a number of picnic tables in small courtyards on either sides of the building. But, donât let the looks of the place deter you. Approaching the window, we were given an extremely friendly greeting by the woman taking orders. She seemed truly excited that it was our first visit and happily made a number of recommendations from a menu of mostly tacos and tortas. I chose the fish tacos. I received three huge tacos in house made, blue corn tortillas and piled high the fish and mango salsa.... very tasty. The truly unique part of my lunch was the recommended oatmeal aqua fresca. I think of aqua fresca as light and citrusy. But, the friendly woman taking our order said âtrust me.â And I am happy that I did. What arrived was a 1 liter carafe with a straw (no separate glass) filled to the rim with concoction of milk, cinnamon, vanilla (I think) and finely ground oatmeal. It was fantastic!

We enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Zorroâs last night. I couldnât decide between the cod and shrimp tacos and the server suggested one of each! They were both delicious, lots of fresh cabbage, radish and yummy sauce. Dinner was served with tortilla chips and salsa. The chips were fantastic. Overall I really enjoyed this restaurant.

Great little find ! Have passed Jalapenos for several years, and finally decided to stop of a late afternoon lunch / dinner. Bigger inside then it looks from the outside, and they have parking and an entrance in the rear. The staff was very nice, friendly, andquick to take care of us. We both had the Chicken Fajita's, and they were extremely good, large portions of chunk size chicken, and not burned or stuck to the metal serving plate. The homemade salsa was very good as well, if it was just a bit thicker it would be some of the best. Everything we had was good, with the exception of the guacamole, which was runny .... was not freshly made. They only other minor knock was that the sour cream and guacamole came served on the hot plate with the beans and rice, instead of separate "cold" plate or serving dish. However overall experience was great, and would highly recommend. The prices were very competitive and fair priced, we will definitely be going back again.

I will return often to a restaurant because it does one thing in an outstanding way. I return to this place because it serves the best chili relleno in the region. The chili pepper is not overcooked, as is so often the case, the breading is light, and the cheese blend is generous. Itâs perfect. I highly recommend the cilantro rice as your rice choice. The refried beans are very good, too. My wife ordered the chili verde tostada and loved it. The pork chunks were cooked just right. The chips are fresh and warm and the salsa is excellent. The service is friendly and nicely attentive. The ambiance is very comfortable. We will return.

I went for a quick and late lunch with a few friends. The server was really on top of making sure we had everything we needed and the starting the salsa and chips were really good.the prices weren't incredibly inexpensive so it's not great if you're really on a budget, but the food was good and it wasn't too bad for the amount of food you got.

My husband and I were in the mood for Mexican food the other night and found this restaurant online. Great chile rellanos caught our eye! I have to say they were great! The homemade tortillas were hot perfection too. The chicken and pork enchiladas were ok, but did not compare to the rellanos. Beans had too much liquid for our tastes and the rice needed some pizzazz. We saw a couple of the burritos and they looked awesome! We'll save them and the menudo for next time!

I love this place and we come here pretty regularly. great food that tastes excellent and homemade, great staff, and great price. we always end up buying extra bean and cheese burritos to take home as we love them so much, even reheated. Fantastic homemade flour tortillas too!!

This is my favorite place for pozole! We even get it to go. We also enjoy the tacos and burritos. The nachos are very different, you need to ask them to melt the cheese, but good all the same.

The Old Juan's family invites you to bring your family and your friends and have a margarita, homemade chips, fresh salsa, and enjoy the flavors originating from Guanajuato, Mexico. We use the family recipes and traditions that were handed down from the m
Last night nine of us had dinner at old Juanâs after attending the Melodrama in Oceano. There was a side room reserved for us and the service was great and dinner was served on a timely basis. I ordered a midsize chicken tostada. I looked as hard as I could and I could hardly find any chicken. Just a few pulled segments mixed in with the salad. Not as appetizing or a as appealing as Iâve had in the past. Everyone else was pleased with their dinner so I was the only one that was not happy.
