I am not sure what happened to this restaurant. They recently closed for a few days to rearrange the kitchen and make things easier for their cooks. Well maybe they could consider making things easier for their customer. We have dinner here one or two times per week. On the weekends we often bring friends with us. This Sunday was awful Just awful without one single redeeming quality. The lights in the center of the building were turned off. it was too dark to read the menu. I asked three different people to turn them on. My friend loaned me his phone flashlight so I could read the menu. That is how dark it was.Salsa that seemed as though it came out of a jar. Our chips were cold, greasy crumbs seemingly from the bottom of the bag. All the waitress could say to me was "No. We do not have that."I ordered chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce. "No we don't have sour cream sauce." Which they do. I asked for charro beans. "We don't have charro beans. Only refries." I gave up. This was the only dinner I wanted that I could find on the menu by my friend's flashlight. I told her, never mind, I would not have anything. My friend ordered dinner. The waitress brought two dinners, eventhough I told her I did not want it. The refried beans were crusty as though they had been scraped out of the bottom of a pan. The chicken enchiladas had sour cream sauce! But the chicken inside was bland and tasteless. Instead of chopping up the onions they were in long strips. it was like eating strands of spaghetti out of a tortilla. I always have sangria here and enjoy it immensely. On Sunday night the wine was mixed with some sort of sweet and sour drink mix. Ugh. A truly awful night at this retaurant which has been our fave for a very long time. UGH

Visiting family in North Little Rock, I was delighted to have the chance to return to this quaint little restaurant located literally about as close to JFK Blvd. as you can possibly get. Love everything about this small, but always busy, family-owned Mexican restaurant! It's where the locals go, so with much competition in the area, you know it has to be good. Salsa is fresh, and satisfies my cilantro requirement for great salsa. Our server ensured our chips were refreshed often, and kept our salsa bowls filled. And then again . . . had a delicious, huge burrito! And value . . . you find it here; servings are generous! Definitely on my short list of 'foodie' places in North Little Rock!

Ate here earlier this year and tried it again for lunch. Great menu. You can get each meat three ways. Taco/ nacho or a Burrito I think. Neat way of doing it. We started with salsa which was really good. Followed it up with soup and a pork taco and added beans and rice. I actually combined the beans with the rice and it was very good. Service excellent. Will keep coming back here!!

Great fun, lively. Huge selection of craft beers, good selection of tequila's, and I enjoyed the caipiriniha - a cocktail from Brazil. I like the Pupusas and Empanadas better than the street tacos. Salsa was also very good. Pricing was decent as expected for quality fresh food.

My only complaint is that it was way too loud here tonight. Packed house so that contributed to the noise level but still it was way too loud. Started with the cheese dip which was excellent. Then the signature dish Plato 1947. Great mix of beans, rice, tamale, taco and chili. Very tasty. Loved the beans. The taco was excellent too. Great service. Very popular spot so get there early if you donât want to wait!!

TexMex chains are all the rage and this one provides the standard fare. Complimentary chips and salsa were good enough. The meat (beef) in the barbacoa tacos was a little tougher than I expected. The beans and rice were ok. All in all, the place was clean, service excellent. Location good though the parking lot was oddly configured on a hillside. Overall, this place was good for lunch.

First visit to a Chuyâs ever. Large place, attractively decorated. Service was a tad slow, and our server didnât give us his full attention. For example, he asked for my order, but as I began to speak, he said something to a diner at another table, so we had to start over. Chips and salsa were very good. Fajita taco salad was quite good, but was brought to us with no dressing. Had to flag down our server to ask for it. He explained that they were making it. While I appreciate a freshly made dressing (it was quite good), wouldnât it have made sense to tell us that when the salad was served? I think better training, or better hiring practices are in order here.

This place is great for any type of visit, whether itâs a large group of friends or a couple on a date. They offer outdoor patio seating as well. The food is great, and I recommend getting the tacos. They offer many different tacos, from steak to seafood Or carnitas to chorizo. They also have great house margaritas at decent prices.

In a converted former filling station, this cool little restaurant serves some creative tacos, tortas and burritos with a huge choice of fillings.They can satisfy the meat lover, pescatarians and vegetarians alike. Cool place, good food and they have some compostable To-Go containers made from sugar cane fiber that were very cool.Looking forward to my next trip to taste more great food!
