We came for dinner on a Friday night and despite the crowd we were seated right away. Our server was efficient, attentive and friendly. We had fish tacos, chicken and beef tacos with rice and beans and of course their tasty chips and salsa. Everything arrived hot and tasty.

We came here and was seated when all our party arrived. Ordered some margarita and sangria to start off first, they served some tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa. Ordered a beef and chicken fajita and fish tacos. The former was fantastic especially the tortilla wrap was incredibly soft. Ended with some churros and would definitely come back!

One of the beauties of Mexico is its geographic location, with coasts on the Pacific Ocean, the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico, which is connected to the Atlantic Ocean via the Florida Straits. From these waters comes a bounty of edible sea life, w
Our three family members visited for lunch yesterday. Caracol gets a great review and we were excited. We dined in the bar - liked the atmosphere and the service was great throughout. I didn't find the food special in any way. I thought the guac lacked flavor. The tuna taco special was overcooked and dry. The pork enchiladas were pretty good, but nothing I'd consider special. We enjoyed the experience, but given the lofty reviews, we expected more.

Friendly service and delicious food. From entrance to departure the ambiance was warm and welcoming. The fresh chips and salsa were incredible - and spicy. The chicken fajitas with spicy sausage were packed with flavor and spice. Made the judgement to eat both chile's on the plate prompting a 9-alarm fire in my mouth - totally worth it given the flavors.Would definitely come back.

Had planned to go to another restaurant but when we arrived we discovered they changed their hours so are no longer open for lunch on Saturdays. Decided to try El Tiempo in Vintage for the first time. Servers were all attentive and polite. Food was good. Chips and salsa were OK - but not something I would crave (had a warm red salsa and green creamy one). The menu was huge with lots to choose from. The only surprise was the prices. I got two Enchiladas Verdes (chicken with green sauce) which was $17.79 plus another $1.29 for sour cream (which sometimes comes as part of the enchiladas at other restaurants) and my husband got Carne Asada La Tana (27.99). We both thought our meals were tasty, including the rice and beans. He got a softdrink and I had a Frozen Mango Rita (on happy hour for $6.75). It was good, but I would probably try something different next time. With tip and tax, the total for two was $72. We missed the lunch menu by 15 minutes (I think they serve it until 3pm, even on Saturdays). Oh the other weird thing was being asked if we wanted to sit outside ... ummm, it was 97 degrees outside - so no. Not surprisingly, no one was out there. Iâm sure it is really nice in the other seasons. The ground floor was pretty crowded when we arrived (I donât think the upstairs was open yet) â so looks like the restauarant is very popular. Oh, and sound level was good â we could actually hold a conversation which was nice. This wonât become our âgo toâ restaurant but I would come here again if we were in the area.

Food was only fair and pricey. $16 for two chicken "tinga" tacos. Not tinga, just simmered. Good beans. Chips tasted like old oil. Cooked not fresh salsa. Most disliked thing was the ear splitting noise. Nothing to break sound, so pass unless you excell at lip reading.

Everything inside Cantina El Tiempo is excellent, from the moment you enter you are greeted and treated like a VIP, the service is excellent, the decor is awesome, place is clean and well maintained. Food selection is incredible, a super wide selection of authentic mexican food, all the entrees we tried were excellent, the salsas, even the totopos were excellent, fresh made guacamole, ice cold XX beer, all outstanding.

This has always been one of the best Pappasito's in Houston but yesterday was kind of disappointing - my wife loves Chill Relleno's and is very familiar with the dish, in fact we were just in New Mexico and we enjoyed several fine examples there. So it was a great disappointment yesterday to be served a rather sad flat pepper smothered in cheap cheese in place of an actual Chili Relleno. The true Chili Relleno is a stuffed pepper, often a poblano, Anaheim or a hatch chili, which has been cooked in a fluffy egg batter. Yesterday's mess was nothing like that at all, which was a quite a surprise considering that this restaurant bills itself as being authentic Mexican. Perhaps they just do not know how to make this dish?Additionally the server got our order messed up which did not add to the enjoyment. Will we go back? Maybe, there are very few actual good Mex or TexMex restaurants in Houston, most of them are bland and boring or just plain bad (e.g. El Tiempo) so there are not a lot to choose from.

We get the half price Fajitas almost ever Wednesday night for two families. They are always fantastic. But we ordered two weeks ago and my son forget to pick them up!!! Our fault!!! I called when he got home and told the manager I would pay over the phone and they would have to discard them. They said they could not take the payment over the phone. I told him I would drive up there and pay the next morning, they said "NO". We were good regular customers and accidents happen and there would be no charge. This is great customer service.Thank you, The Howe Family
