Just got home from Las Casuelas Mexican Restaurant. We have been there several times, but it has been several months.So I ordered a side of guacamole, because, there salsa was very blah.My boyfriend ordered an iced tea, it had an aftertaste, so he switched it out for a raspberry margarita, which was good and a special price at $4.50!We expected to get the guacamole before our meal to snack on, but it came with our dinner. I ordered a chicken enchilada with the light sauce, it came with rice and beans. The enchilada was very good, the rice was good, but slightly overcooked, the beans with cheese were okay, but I am not a fan of beans. My boyfriend ordered a Chile rellano, which he said was good. The server, never came back to check on us. When we sat waiting for our check, I had to get up and go find our server. He was busy talking to the chef.All in all, there are way too many Mexican Restaurants, that are so much better quality and service, than this one. We won't be going back anytime soon.

RANCHO VIEJO is our favorite Nipomo Mexican restaurant. It is a small restaurant (maybe 8 or so tables) with big value. The food is prepared by a mexican family with homemade sauces, The portions are ample and delicious. Beer and wine are available. My wife loves the wine margarita.

Old Town Brew is a great little bar. I'm not sure why it comes up only as a restaurant. There isn't currently food service, although there are plans to expand. The owner Daniel is friendly and knowledgeable about the beer he carries. The beer menu rotates, and provides seasonal and local (for example Firestone Walker and Figueroa Mountain Brewing) brews. A nice mix of lagers, unfiltered, IPA, ales, stouts, etc. Tasting is encouraged, Daniel wants people to try new things and like what they are drinking. Prices are good. The 'regulars' are friendly. Just a great little place, a real neighborhood bar. Highly recommended for a casual relaxing time with a little beer.

Oh boy - another night at the Taco Bell. You might regret it the next day depending on what you ordered. Personally, I can eat just about anything you put in front of me; so I don't mind Taco Bell. But don't go here if you want authentic Mexican food. Go here if you are broke, intoxicated, or just plain hungry and don't care what you are consuming.

With so many awesome Mexican restaurants in the area, why in the world would you settle? It has been a couple on months; however, the staff was HORRIBLE when I went - I recognize that the turnover rate in the fast food business is ever changing. I ordered a burrito without sour cream. It came with sour cream. I kid you not, the kid opened the burrito and scraped the sour cream off. I said that I needed one remade, I have an allergy to milk products. How many ways can you say that the kid was irritated with me. Service?
