Things to do in Needles
My friend and I stopped by there for something to eat after fishing. We got it to go. He had a machaca burrito and I got a chorizo and egg torta and for my wife we picked up a shrimp burrito. Nice atmosphere in there. Small restaurant maybe 8-10 tables, but good food, reasonable and quite fast service. My wife really enjoyed her shrimp burrito too. Large variety of Mexican food on the menu. The store right next door has some excellent machaca with many different varieties from hot to mild. I had to buy 2 pounds of the mesquite as my wife and I really like it!! Would recommend going if you haven't? I'll go again when I'm down that way again. About 10 miles South of us.
It was fine. Nothing exceptional, but good. We were hoping to grab a quick bite to go and catch the sunset out on Route 66. Sadly they took forever to get our food and we didn't make it as far as we had hoped. Good food but slow drive through.
We were there. That's about all you can say about Mohave Valley, AZ. We decided that Mexican might be okay and generally I can find something that is gluten free at a Mexican restaurant. So we Googled and looked at Trip Advisor...nothing. Finally I happened upon a Google listing for this place so we tapped it into the GPS and ventured out into the hot Mohave air to find it. The route took us through a residential area which was build around a man-made lake...a long, skinny body of water which was surrounded by an oasis of green and large houses which looked ostentatious and a bit out of place in their stark surroundings. Just beyond the housing enclave was this little Mexican Restaurant which was very full of locals for lunch. The place was clean and although they had few gluten free options, I was served some decent chicken tacos on corn tortillias and overall we had a very inexpensive, good lunch in a part of Mohave Valley to which we would not otherwise have seen.
Clean, friendly staff and great food. This is a small town with few options for food, the place next door was the worst breakfast I have ever had. This is number 1 for a reason

Family owned Mexican Rest. located in Needles, Ca. Non smoking, open Thursday thru Sunday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. Dine in or Out. Reasonable prices.
Lucy's restaurant only a few steps away from the historic route 66, and has a feeling, that it also a reminder of the past. Old fashioned, with old rules and principles, the best guardian of old business morals. Lucy serves decent Mexican food, for decent prices. We spent only one night in Needles, but this restaurant made our evening pleasant and memorable. We almost did not pay attention to the food, but we just felt very comfortable. Later on, I started to analyze our dinner. The tortilla chips with salsa that we got as a starter, probably were the best part of the food. The only thing that I missed was the avocado that I didn't find on the menu. The waitress was a bit inexperienced but charming and attentive, and the prices were ridiculously low.

I have to rate Pancho Villas as average even though the food was quite tasty. This is not the place to come for dine in so I really would not classify it as a "restaurant" and you order at a counter. There is very limited seating available, just a few "booths" (if you would call them that), each one of which only seats two people. That presented a problem for our party of three, requiring us to split up. HOWEVER, if you are ordering take-out or just stopping by for a solo lunch or dinner, then you will probably be quite happy with this tiny eatery and in fact it was quite busy the whole time we were there (with take out orders). Again, the food was very good. The staff friendly. The value good. The place just lacks space and atmosphere, hence my rating of average overall.

We drove right by it once. Finally found it.Family run business with very few tables. We shared a chili verdi burrito which was good but not great. A lot of people coming in for take out. No one cleaning tables. Would like to try other dishes but we were on the road and only stopped for a quick lunch.
