Find out what Mexican restaurants to try in Navarre. Navarre is a Census-designated place and unincorporated community in Santa Rosa County in the northwest Florida Panhandle. It is a bedroom community for mostly U.S. Military personnel, Federal Civil Servants, local population, retirees and defense contractors. Due to its proximity to Navarre Beach and its four miles of beach front on the Gulf of Mexico as well as the Gulf Islands National Seashore, it has a small, but growing community of nature enthusiasts and tourists.

The service was beyond excellent. Chips and salsa were on the table immediately after we sat down. Our young waiter was prompt, polite and knowledgeable. The chicken tortilla soup was fresh, tasty and full of chicken. Best I've had in a restaurant ever. Main courses came our and again everything appeared to be made from scratch. My wife and I eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants and found the food here to be at the top of the game. The best we have had in years. Fresh is the key. And the prices were very fair. Enjoy!Thank you so much Bob!

We stopped here the first night we got to Navarre and we needed to shop so it was convenient. Seated quickly but not many were in the place. The children all had fun drinks and the servers were good with them. Food was ok nothing special. Fish was good but seemed dry and over cooked. It was expensive for what we had. Poor lighting in the place too as it seemed so dark. Other more local places offer more value for money unfortunately.
Tienda San Francisco is a small Mexican grocer with fantastic Beef (shredded), Pork (shredded) and Chicken Tamales. On the weekend they sell their tamales from a tent out front- during the week they sell them inside. If your looking for a homemade Tamale THIS is the spot- $2 per Tamale.
