It was a disappointing meal. Iâve been once before and had a nice meal but this time it was different. The refried beans on both our plates had a hard dried out crust around the outside. Possibly from sitting out waiting for the main part of the dish to be plated. The fajita had two small spears of peppers in them and the rice was flavourless and dried out. A friend had noticed this little place , while driving by and noticing the Mexican Flags. Being longtime travellers to Mexico, we thought we'd try it. Nice Mexican ambience, friendly staff, and goodsized portions. I had 3 crispy chicken tacos, served with rice and beans, and reasonably priced !.Busy over the lunch hour, with quite a few working men eating there, good indication of quality and price, these were young men with good appetites. Quite a few takeout ordered as well.

What a nice surprise! This little gem is hidden away on the Nanaimo Waterfront. It was so nice to sit on the water in the restaurant enjoying our meal on what was a hot sunny day. The service was excellent and so was the food! The menu was simple but there were good choices available. We really enjoyed our selection of seafood taco's. I look forward to returning here with out of town visitors next month.

I lived for many years in Southern California and even spent about a year in Mexico itself so I can assure the reader that I've had some pretty good Mexifood. That is why it is so surprising that this place is right up there with the best meals I've had in California and Mexico. The very prompt service brings some of the most authentic and delicious fare you'll have in this country. Everything I had was spectacularly delicious, the Burrito is nothing short of enormous and ultratasty, the Quesadilla is creamy and delectable, but the #1 best dish has to be the BIGGEST AND BEST CHILE RELLENO I HAVE EVER ENJOYED! Not just in Canada but USA and Mexico as well! The Chile Relleno is not just incredible but beyond incredible. I don't know where the chef finds these mutant giant chiles and how they overstuff, overbatter and perfectly fry them up but I just want to eat them, plate after plate, until I EXPLODE!
