Reviews on Mexican food in Montecito, California, United States. Home to some of Santa Barbara County’s most famous residents, Montecito has always had an irresistible allure, first attracting vacationing movers and shakers in the 1880s. Today, locals, visitors and celebrities meander along Montecito’s stunning beaches, including famous Butterfly Beach, charming Coast Village Road and Upper Village. Drive or bike along the tree-shaded lanes, and do what the locals do: hang out on a sunny patio, read the paper and don't make a fuss if you see a famous face.

We made a reservation and sat outside on the sweet patio. Classic Traditional margaritas were the real deal, and the family loved the guacamole. Note: they do not run a clean fryolator for a few first batches of chips so they are not gluten free. All of our meals were incredible, and I would recommend going with the largest group possible as most plates are designed for sharing. Top notch food, good prices, excellent service. This place had it all!

Love this little spot! Delicious salsas and homemade chips and all meat marinades are incredibly tasty. We have actually driven two hours from our home to visit this favorite spot from when we attended Westmont College. I'm sure there are tons of wonderful restaurants in the Santa Barbara area, but you simply cannot miss Little Alex's right off the 101 on your way into SB!

Found this Mexican joint on Trip Advisor. Some great Mexican food and full on Margaritas. Very lively atmosphere and overflowing at Happy Hour. On the main state Street surrounded by shops and restaurants. Definitely a place to go for dinner one evening if you are in Santa Barbara - get a table outside to people watch!!!

Customers order at the counter and your choice is brought to to table, I had the BEST chile rellenos I've eaten in Santa Barbara (I judge Mexican restaurants by the quality of this dish). It was large, full of cheese, lightly breaded and smothered in a sauce that was delicious but didn't overwhelm the dish. My companions had the fish and shrimp enchilada plate and the a la carte halibut soft taco, both of which were also excellent; Highly recommended,High points: --The full plates can be accompanied by a caesar salad if you don't care for the rice,--The refried beans (black or pinto) are served in a charming bowl made from a fried tortilla.--The decor is classic and understated.--The staff is exceptionally friendly

Our hotel front desk personnel recommended this place, we were looking for a local place and delicious mexican food. We were definitely not disappointed and we love the service, the ambience and specially the food. I order the lobster and steak (obviously with the Mexican flare) and my wife order the Asada plate which includes a little bit of everything. We would recommend this hands down.

Enjoyed an amazing bowl of Pozole, an authentic, delicious, fresh bowl of traditional Mexican chicken hominy soup. Served quickly with a smile (and freshly cooked soft corn tortillas). Sat outdoors at the bar table. Relaxed. Nice vibe. Good value. Perfect.

This is very nice restaurant tucked away in charming shopping area just outside of Santa Barbara. Appropriate that we visited on Cinco de Mayo! The bartender gave us a great margarita, his favorite, while we waited to be seated. The menu has so many great choices a mix of Mexican and Spanish cuisine. The five of us ordered different things and we were all impressed with our orders and enjoyed them! Plenty of food!
