When I asked the wine tasting server at Langtry Estate Vineyards for the best place to eat in Middletown, she didn't hesitate in recommending this place. She was right on. We were modestly amazed that two people in the kitchen and one scrambling, cheerful waitress could make it all work, but our wait time wasn't very long, the nachos we shared were among the best we could remember, and all this in a place that was essentially full at lunch time on a Friday. One couple was eating outside with their dog napping under their feet, plus there were a dozen or so tables inside, and it didn't appear that anyone was anxious about the speed of their orders, most of which looked like an awful lot of tasty food. We settled on the nacho appetizer to share, since we are trying not to overeat at every meal, and we were more than satisfied and agreed they were different from a lot of tex-mex offerings of the same name, and better.Outstanding value. Pleasant ambiance. Lovely fare. That adds up to excellence in my book

Beulah's Kitchen

We were looking for a breakfast stop and spotted Beulah's. Although it is small, it was full of customers and we were happy to get a booth. Coffee came immediately; it was noticeably good. Husband biscuits and gravy also came with two eggs and potatoes (!), a truly manly meal. My breakfast burrito with chorizo was delicious, but so much food! It came with a delicious salsa and sour cream. It was eye-opening great breakfast food. While eating, we overheard a great quote: "I used to spend all my time going to court, now I spend all my time going to the doctor." It's that kind of place, full of real people eating food they can rely on to be good.

There were many Mexican style snacks and groceries on the shelves. Many different types of treats/snacks were on display. They even had the Mexican style coconut macaroon. This is a restaurant inside of a market. Not fancy but very clean and organized. The food was great, and I will definitely eat here next time I am in the area.
