Don't let the location, adjacent to an AM/PM gas station, fool you. El Coyote charro is the real deal. They serve generously stuffed burritos, tacos, mulitas, taco salads, quesadillas, Asada fries, and more. The choice of meats is nicely specific â classics like chicken, steak, chorizo, and pork and also beef tongue, tripe, cheek and pork stomach for those with such tastes. The staff is really friendly and straight forward. They were serving a baseball team when we arrived and told us it could take awhile to fill out order. We were happy to wait and glad we did. When our order was ready, staff brought it out instead of having us come up to claim it. The food was so good we recommended it to our team for lunch the next day. Everyone loved it and we've added it to our favorite place to get eats in Mesquite. In a town without many restaurants scoring higher than 3-stars, this is our new goto in Mesquite.

Golf weekend in Mesquite. Stopped here our first night based on multiple solid reviews. Food was so-so. I had a combo platter of chicken taco, enchilada & tamale. chicken taco was rather bland. Tamale was tasty. But I had also ordered an al pastor taco and it was the bomb.

We stopped on a Friday night and it was so busy the tables were dirty. The staff apologized for the mess and said they were doing everything they could just to keep up with the food orders. My sweet chicken salad I had was great. Love the homemade tortilla's and limeade.

Family Mexican cuisine, with large selection of seafood dishes along with the authentic Mexican recipes. We are a sitting restaurant with experienced servers. Weâre over 35 years experienced in this type of business and we take very seriously ours respons
I have eaten at La Fonda about 5 times and they are always consistent. The food is authentic and delicious! The waitresses are GREAT! Daniella and Maria have both been awesome every visit. This is a restaurant that really is a hidden gem. 2 different salsa's were served with our chips. I love the hottest one and my sister chose the mild. I had the cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. I always ask for green salsa on my enchiladas and it is delicious! They have a very large menu and lots of variety. Prices are great too! Highly recommended by myself and family and my friends.

After all the positive reviews, I expected more. Having eaten in the other Mexican restaurants in Mesquite, I can say there are no really good Mexican restaurants in Mesquite. The food was plentiful, but not well prepared. The shrimp was dry in the enchiladas. I also had the Mojarra Frita, one of my favorites and it was passable but not superb. The Mariachi music was blaring, and the kitchen was noisy. Just not a pleasant dining experience. Finally the place did not look clean and menus were a mess. I won't be going back.
