Iâm sorry, this one fell short. We had 3 wait staff helping usâ2 were perfectly pleasant, the 3rd was clearly in a bad mood. Overall, I would say decent service. The food: well, no. Just not that good compared to other restaurants in town. And, while my husband is a really good cook, his Mexican dishes shouldnât be better than an authentic restaurant, right?
Dropped in for lunch and was surprised at how large and clean the dining area was. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. We got 2 burrito platters with rice and beans. The burrito was huge and the food filling and tasty. Service was quick.

This is a brand new Taco Bell that almost didn't make it to Mequon. It's a good thing it did. The employees are nice and the service is good. There are tons of affordable choices on the menu and it's always changing.Sometimes if there are several customers in the dining room and the drive thru is packed, the dining room suffers with long waiting times, I hope this can improve. They play Sirius XM radio and the dining room is clean and relaxing with plenty of places to sit. I usually come a few times a month to enjoy several items like the quesarito.

When we don't feel like cooking, and have a hankering for good Mexican fare, we pop in to Poco loco. They have some interesting options like ribs as a starter, and weekly specials.
Nice replica of Milwaukee Public Market with some different food vendors, more seating and a bigger patio. Happy Dough Lucky Donuts and Purple Door Ice Cream are delicious.

We often visit the Highland House with nine people ranging in age from five to seventy eight. Regardless of what anyone ever ordered all nine of us always leave happy and nobody ever complained about the food or service. The specials are great and the five and eight year olds love their kids meals. We have been there many times and will continue to go to the Highland House. My wife loves the point card and uses it every time we are at the restaurant.Hi Douglas,Thanks for taking time to review us with such kind words! We appreciate your continued loyalty as we quickly approach our fourth decade of operations! We hope to serve you and your family again in the near future and look forward to seeing you! Thanks again!Nicole
