We wandered into this place after a day at the beach, having no idea what we would find. It had an extensive Mexican Menu--all kinds of tacos, burritos, quesedillas, tamales, and a variety of platters of grilled meats with sides. The food was so good! The restaurant clearly caters to a mostly-Mexican clientele (the waitress's English was pretty limited), but the authentic Mexican food was delicious, the portions were huge, and the presentation was gorgeous. My fish tacos came with fresh salad, that included tomatoes, peppers, avocado, cilantro, and lime. The Carne asado came with rice and beans, but also salad, homemade guacamole, a grilled jalapeno, and a slice of grilled cactus. They also came with fresh, homemade flour tortillas which were incredibly unnecessary, given the size of the portions, but so warm and chewy it was hard to stop eating them. Hardly anything on the menu was over $10, and we left stuffed. We can't wait to return, hopefully with friends so we can try more of the menu.

I enjoy coming here for the chicken fajitas. They make them exactly how I want them; and the service is very friendly. The cheese dip (I have no idea what it is called) is excellent. I have returned here several times while I have been out here working in New Jersey, and will continue to dine here. The neighborhood is not very nice, but the food and service make up for the location. I would rather have good food and service (at reasonable prices) than good "atmosphere".My bill is always around $17 for the chicken fajitas (not including tip).

Overnighting in the area, I checked out Casa Comida for dinner. The cars in the parking area indicated that there must be plenty of customers, but the place itself looked deserted from the outside. Inside, a different story: a sweeping and mostly attractive view of the water...expansive dining areas, several lively tables with groups of 6-10...and a small army of wait staff. The menu has the usual Tex-mex options, plus they have a more expensive set of specials for the day that sounded one or two steps up in quality. I maybe should have sprung for a special...the chicken and pork enchiladas I ordered were LOADED with cheese and otherwise unremarkable. My waitress was efficient and service oriented. Good selection of beers for a place of this sort.
I really like this rustic place. The restaurant has an adjacent typical Mexican store that sells everything from leather goods to Mexican specialty foods. All their meat dishes are really delicious and well cooked. I'm a die-hard fajita fan and the tamales verdes are no less. The nachos also deserve a mention. The layer cake with dulce de leche is addictive.Prices are honest and service is attentive and friendly.

Great discovery! We read about it in the local paper and gave it a try. Cute restaurant with outdoor seating as well. Great food....fresh, health and very tasty. I had chicken with Mole, honestly, the best I have ever had. Great black beans too! Very reasonable prices and easy parking. A really friendly and appreciative family owned and operated restaurant. TOTALLY worth checking out!

Nice little place to get tacos, burritos, etc. I especially enjoy the steak quesadilla. This isn't authentic Mexican food, but it's really good nonetheless. Their salsa bar is also very nice. I usually stick to the salsa verde, but I'm sure the other salsas are good.
