A notch above chain restaurants, but falls short of very good Mexican food. My chile relleno was pretty good, and my wife gavea nod to her beef taco. Our two companions weren't overwhelmed by their dishes, but didn't complain either. Instead of ordering at the counter, an accommodating and friendly staff provided full table service.
Stopped for some fast dinner items. Place had a line of 5 or 6 but the cashier, Hannah, did a great job. She was very upbeat, pleasant and efficient. Nice menu selection and the food was prepared quickly and correctly. All good and the prices are very reasonable.

Had lunch today and the food remains very good. The salsa and chips are by far the best in town. While service in the past has been slow, today it was outstanding. Lunch combo includes a drink and you can get the boiled beans on request. Everything was tasty, fresh and good size portions.
It's small, quaint, and family run. Every time I've been here I have enjoyed it. Fantastic and authentic menu items, good portions, great price, friendly staff, and the house hot sauce really is hot!
My title might suggest that Taco Loco is not a first-choice restaurant when searching for Mexican fare, but that would be wrong. This is a great local chain and all of them are excellent places to eat, and very affordable. You could throw a dart at the menu and eat well, but their secret weapon is the salsa: rumor has it that the US government uses this substance to make terrorists talk. One taste and you want MORE. NOW. No one can resist it. NO ONE. You'll want to put it on everything you eat, and probably even drip some into your beverage. Most people would break glass to get more (thus my title). You get the idea...I tend toward vegetarian fare and usually order a veggie burrito with an ice tea for lunch or dinner. Naturally, the burrito should be drenched in their salsa.

We were hungry for lunch driving through Lompoc when we spotted this casual looking Mexican restaurant called El Palmar and thought we'd give it a try. So happy we did as they serve really good Mexican food in a pleasant casual atmosphere with decent service and reasonable prices.

Went to El Toro Bronco for the first time in a few years and immediately wondered why it took us so long to return. Really good chips and salsa. Carnitas plate was excellent. Combo plate with carne Assad was also excellent. The house margaritas really were the best in Lompoc. Service was fast and friendly. It was very easy to imagine we were in Mexico and it was a short ride back home.
We go to Taco Loco all the time, really embarrassingly often. More specifically, TL #6. Their cook has my vote for the best in Lompoc...so, so good! Huevos rancheros with hash browns, chile relleño burrito are favorite comfort foods. Very nice environment, lovely people, five stars all the way. Love this place.

Was fortunate to be with an old friend who knew the family that runs this little restaurant in Lompoc. The menu is quite extensive with something for every taste. We were very happy with the waitresses recommendations, especially when it came to the spicyness of the meals. Everyone was friendly and the service was great. I can recommend both the chili Colorado and the chili verde.

Sorely disappointed. We chose this place because of the star rating. I should have read the second review. Styrofoam plates. Chips clearly from a bag, not made on-site Plastic forks. Thick 1/4in batter on the Chile Relleno with canned sauce. The enchilada was thick and tasted of cheap corn tortillas. The taco shell was from a package. The fish tacos were the worst my friend had ever had. The pictures show it all. Honestly, I've had better at Taco Bell.
