WOW! A first review! And a EASY 5 star! We started with fresh chips and Ceviche. It was excellent. Great flavor & FRESH! My wife had the Shrimp taco dinner, and I had the Coldo 7 Mares, a fish type soup. The shrimp taco's were really good, the shrimp cooked perfectly, with a scrumptious breading. The fish soup. All I can say is WOW! Spetacular, and even better two days later! We will be back to try some different dishes!

We are big fans of Pepe's because they serve good food with consistency between locations. The salsa, guacamole and chips are made fresh at each location. This location scores high on fresh (hot) chips, good on guacamole and their salsa could use some heat. Other than that, the food was very good.

We have been to the Friaco's in Shorewood on Rt. 59 many times and had great service and food. This restaurant is very small and there was only 1 person acting as the bartender, hostess and waitress. They weren't busy when we stopped in but couldn't imagine the kind of service you would get if they were. I opted for the burrito and when it came there was very little steak. They pretty much filled it with refried beans, rice and all the other stuff vs. putting in your money's worth of steak. Drinks are fairly pricey for the location but the location is convenient. When I go back, it will be to the location on RT. 59.

El Authentico has some of the best and most authentic (no pun) tasting burritos and tacos around. They have a particularly good hot sauce, it is the kind that seems to be creamier than most and the hot will burn your mouth to the point of tears - which is good if you like that kind of thing. If not, the green is just the right amount of heat. Service is always prompt, it seems like family usually is working here. Not usually super busy - hopefully things pick up and they stay for a long time!

Discovered Elbarrio a few months back. Best Tacos around, hands down. All food is prepared fresh (by the owners and family) and feels like I am eating in a friends kitchen! Preparation of the dishes takes a while, but keep in mind - whether you order a SOPE or Bistek Mexicana - it is all freshly made from scratch! Two dinners and four beers can be had for thirty bucks - great deal! Owner and staff treat you like family!

Quick service and great food! Tried the smothered smoked chicken burrito--delicious!! Wasn't super smothered in the sauce as described in the menu, but was still really good! Chips & salsa delicious as usual. Service was great--Holly was a nice and efficient waitress.

Much of Mexican American food is pretty hum-drum. A burrito is a burrito. But I really enjoy their soups. They're not a good as Chenchos in HG, but it's close enough to spare the longer drive. Friendly service

My boyfriend had been raving about this place since he works nearby and stops for lunch. On a Saturday he finally took me and I was pleasantly surprised. From the outside it looks like a house. When you walk in, it's very small and you can tell it was a converted house. The atmosphere won't blow you away, but really, what do you expect from a take-out taco joint in the older part of Lockport? The only workers there were the cashier/waitress (who was very polite) and the one cook. I ordered the "big" steak quesadilla and my boyfriend ordered a steak burrito. We ate inside and were served chips and salsa. The steak was very good, no fat or gristle, only a little in my boyfriend's burrito. I also had a tamale stuffed with pork and salsa verde. It was also very good. I also like the tubs of hot carrots/cauliflower/jalapenos on the tables to use when you dine-in. I'll definitely go back!
