Was here on a down night..a Sunday with the family. As usual, the food was terrific...but the service has gone so far down hill I am not coming back. Claudia...our waitress was basically none existent. Drinks empty....chips empty... for 15 min. I ask another waiter to ask her to come. I heard them ask. She didn't come for another 6 min....when we flagged her down. Unreal. As stated, the food here is terrific. I just wished the service was a 1/4 as good.

Rooftop atmosphere was good. Margaritas were terrible. Too sour, little alcohol and no salt. Ordered Bee sting...not much better. For food - everything is small plates. Ordered a catfish, fried chicken and grasshoppers taco. All were pretty bland....need more seasoning or flavor. Only thing is good was chips/ guacamole/bean dip. Kids liked cheese quesadillas. Only bright side was waiter, Geoff, was terrific. Rooftop atmosphere would be great for a beer/wine and some chips/salsa. Would recommend they turn rooftop into a lounge with more patio furniture.

We were looking for a place near the hotel to catch a quick bite with friends. They have lived in New Mexico so it appealed to them. Both said it was really bland compared to what they think of as New Mexico Mexican. To top it off, the waiter originally forgot part of one order and brought the wrong thing to another person in our party. It was a disappointment. I can see why there weren't many customers there.

Driving through the area to meet relatives. We had planned to go to the cheeseburger place nearby but it was too crowded and noisy to really visit. We were warmly welcomed and seated at once. The service was excellent and prompt. I had the cheese enchalladias and liked them a lot. Others in the group had fajitas and chicken and thought they were also good. The drinks were terrific. We also shared the flan which was the best I have ever had.

I've eaten here several times and have always had good service and good food. It's nothing fancy, the menu items are just the usual, but it's well prepared and the portions are generous. It's a comfortable place. I'll keep coming back.

I've tried several Peruvian restaurants and they don't come to the ankle of La Chocita Grill. It's not a fancy place, but their chicken is definitely delicious and cooked to perfection. You have a choice of two sides when you take a full chicken. The rice is really good and so is the coleslaw. The fries are terrible, so stay away. We also had their pupusas in the past and they are really tasty. They are definitely worth it if you ask to trade a side for them. I'm not sure what the white sauce is called, but I ask for double because we all fight for it and it's quickly gone.

We are likely the most regular Happy Hour visitors. Margaritas are wonderful! Usually, we ask what the cook, Antonio, recommends. We've tried meals we would not have otherwise ordered! Their carnitas quesidillas are wonderful! Fajitas are good too. The standout for us are Antonio's cream soups (shrimp, crab, and lobster). They are five star! He makes them with fresh ingredients and the soups are loaded with delectable seafood and minimal fillers. Last eve, we had a lobster soup which was positively divine. The Ashburn retireesWait staff is always gracious and attentive. We know and like them all! Location is easily accessible with a large outdoor area in a "piazza". No cars are running by. It is quiet and peaceful! There is a large parking area adjacent to the restaurant.
