A former silver mining town that lies near the headwaters of the Arkansas River in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, the Leadville Historic District contains many historic structures and sites from its dynamic mining era. June; Leadville; snowing. So why not get some Mexican food. Only in the mood for chips, salsa, and a rita. I wanted large, normal large. But Casa Sanchez' large...is HUG! $25 dollar huge!!! It was fun to drink for sure.

Contrary to some of the recent reviews, we recently brought a larger group to Casa Blanca and had a great experience and a very good lunch. The Mexican food was excellent and that's based on trying and comparing many Mexican restaurants throughout the western US. Green and red chili were very good. The red was nicely spicy and the green was a little milder but very good. The rellenos, burritos, enchiladas, and tamales are very authentic, well made, and nicely complimented with excellent chili. The price of beer is ridiculously inexpensive - $3.25 for domestic beer. When and where does that happen in 2019? Service was attentive, timely, and went above and beyond for our large group. The restaurant and restrooms are very clean and overall Casa Blanca is very accommodating. We'll be back for another great meal.

We are frequent visitors to The Grille. This is our favorite place to dine in Leadville. The food is awesome and the servers are very polite. When visiting Leadville, this is a must try place. Thanks so much for dining with us. I'm so happy to hear our staff is treating you right! Come again soon!
