Fajitas is a nice place for families, friends, couples, business meetings, or just by yourself. Nice Mexican decor greets you. The staff are pleasant, and the food is good. From the fresh-made tortilla chips complete with several different salsa choices, or their delicious Mexican white sauce to the many types of bottled Jarita drinks, this place is the real deal.

Let me start with we are from Texas and we generally do not eat Mexican outside the southwest. This was close to our hotel, we could walk and the reviews were good. The food was great, the price was awesome and the service was very good. The portions were good and the salsa was very good. We had chipotle chicken enchiladas with rice and beans all really good. Salsa was good not too chunky but you could see the onions and cilantro. Rice was exceptional and beans were good. The chips were a little thick for us but tasted fresh! Thanks for stopping by Jalapenos in Peru, IL during your trip! We're happy to hear that you loved your salsa and your chipotle chicken enchiladas. We hope to see you back again next time you're staying in the area!
You know, for a little joint on the 6 this place is really great. They have some great Mexican food and so far I've done the corn in a cup (weird, but awesome!), nachos (same as every nacho ever), tamales (SO GOOD!) and of course the other stuff they have that my son likes (French fries, hot dogs, pizza puffs) - these are all American favorites and same everywhere. The deals are very great - cheap cheap and fun to sit outside and people watch. I like this place and it's my son's newest favorite so we go a couple times a month for lunch.

Our family are huge fans of Mexican food. We ordered for pickup while staying at a nearby hotel. The food was phenomenally good and the portions were more than expected. I highly recommend the spinach quesadilla! Our daughter ordered the steak burrito and should could barely finish half of it. Very good food & if we visit the area again we will definitely stop here!
