I ordered chicken tacos and they were really good!!! My husband and I decide to dine in but had a hard time finding a seat due to the dining area being small. Food was excellent but I guess we'll have to order and go next time.

In Chicago for my nephew's wedding. This restaurant was close by so stopped in for light dinner. Drinks very reasonable, appetizers were very yummy.

When we arrived at Chilis we were served by Johnetta the most passionate waitress we have ever met. She had the biggest smile and was so jolly and cheerful that everyone could tell she loved her job. She knew the menu inside out and gave great recommendations. She set the tone for us to have a great time and a wonderful meal. I had a perfectly cooked ribeye steak and my friends had Tilapia and Salmon. The loaded mashed potatoes were awesome and the broccoli was really fresh. Johnetta was extremely attentive during our meal. For the first time ever at Chilis, we did not come home with a doggy bag. Our food was so delicious, we ate it ALL including the Molten Cake. After eating, Johnetta quickly cleaned the table. We were so relaxed and full that we really hated to leave. I can't wait to go back and when I do I am going to insist I have Johnetta for my waitress. Great Job Johnetta!!! And Kudos to the cooking staff.

We have been going to El Salto for years. In their new location the restaurant is airy, clean and such an upgrade to their bathrooms! I was greeted immediately by the friendly hostess and was given a table within 15 seconds. Our server, Manuel, presented himself within one minute and asked for my drink order :) While I was waiting, another staff member brought over chips and salsa and said "welcome to El Salto." Truly this review does not reflect the previous "less than average" reviews on this site. My reviews are always fair, good or bad.Margaritas, perfect. I ordered (always order this) the Quesadilla Fajita with chicken. It is such a large portion and could be shared by two people.Thank you, Manuel for your service and smiles. We definitely shall return!

I have given this place more than a few tries and it is inconsistent. About the only thing I would go back for is the homemade chicken soup. One time I ordered a carne asada dinner as a carry out. It was $20 and it was like shoe leather.

We visit Casa del mar quite often. The best margaritas around here. Enchilada suizas were ordered by two and tamales. The food was pretty good. Appetizer salsa and chips are very tasty. Refried beans rice and entrees were tasty. For the price you can hardly go wrong.
Would recommend trying this place....Has three locations...very clean..reasonable and delicious food...tried the tacos with steak..the burrito bowl...very fresh and would get again...lots of street parking..order at front and then it is brought to your table...very friendly staff makes a difference!
