If you are a fan of mexican food, this place might be the right one-after my visit, I definitely will not become a fan.Simple dishes-fastfood, not at all tasty and the whole place was not very tidy.

This meal was amazing!! Fresh and modern take on Mexican Food. Portions are generous, the food delicious, and the staff is hard working and friendly! This new restaurant in Lake Zurich is tucked in a strip mall. Do not be fooled! It is a great dining experience! My husband and I canât wait to go back! This is going to be a regular spot for us!

I never thought I'd find fish tacos in the Chicago area that would meet Southern California standards. Well, Sergio's Fresh Mexican Grill has succeeded! The owner, Sergio Briceno, offers a fabulous combo: breaded, fried tilapia with shredded purple cabbage, a chipotle-infused sauce, and pico de gallo on a corn tortilla. It's small, but mighty!Alicia, Mrs. Briceno, makes a killer flan. Don't miss either of these items.The restaurant is small -- 4 stools at the window counter; 4 regular tables, and two two-person tables kinda sorta in the hall. They did a big carry-out business while we were there.Sergio's serves breakfast all day. The platters include rice and beans.The restaurant is very clean; the service excellent; and the food wonderful.Closed Sunday.

It's kind of hard to give a rating higher than average to a Tacos Bell store. I'll never forget one of my friends kid told me the meat is marked USDA Grade D.... I didn't even know there was a grade D!

First visit - an okay choice for lunch. In many towns, La Malinche would stand out from the crowd, however, in Lake Zurich there are a lot of good dining options. I would probably go back. Service was friendly and prompt. The chips and salsa were a good start - I especially liked the pickled jalapenos and onions. I had a signature steak dish served in a sizzling lava bowl. Entrée was well proportioned and different from typical Mexican meals. Casual, lower midrange.
