Reviews on Mexican food in Lafayette, Louisiana, United States. Founded by the Acadians in the 19th century, the legacy of Louisiana's French, Spanish and Caribbean ancestors comes together in Lafayette, creating a city with, amongst other things, a vast selection of restaurants serving everything from spicy po'boys to crawfish etouffee. With its lively street festivals, impromptu Zydeco concerts, historic plantations and food markets where locals still order their plate lunches in Louisiana French, Lafayette is the heart of Cajun country.

Not my favorite place. Itâs just ok. Typical Mexican food. Nothing special. But priced higher than most places I eat Mexican. They buckle and dime you. Charge extra for every little thing like a cut up jalapeño, sour cream, etc. Not a very big place & tables close together. Not too kid friendly. Service is ok and place clean. Nothing special.

It was cold outside and I was in the mood for soup, so I tried the Chicken Tortilla Soup. It was delicious with a rich broth and large chunks of vegetables. Because it only comes in one medium sized bowl, I ordered the beef tongue taco on the side. It was suggested to me by friends and proved to be as tender and tasty as they claimed.

Yesterday I had a delicious meal at this restaurant. Their 8oz ribeye (carne aside) dish was very good. I asked them to bring rice instead of tortillas and they were happy to accommodate my request with no extra charge. The people are very friendly and the atmosphere is family friendly. I recommend and will come back for more.

Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. I love their Chili Rellenos, but bring your appetite or ask for a box!

Service was great. Manager asked if there was anything he could do to make our dining experience more enjoyable. Food was quick and tasty. We had shrimp and chicken fajitas.

Excellent food. Tamales are some of the best weâve had. Tacos and chimichangas were delicious as well. Beans and rice very nice, not your average retried beans. The salsa is perfect, not too hot, but a nice kick. Great prices on draft beer. Very good service.
