When we entered âLa Vistaâ on a Sunday at lunchtime we felt a bit uneasy since we were the only guests. Until we left, the restaurant remained empty apart from a few friends of the inn-keeper or waiter who dropped in for a drink. The colorful interior is dominated by a long bar. But it lacks style and charm. The atmosphere resembles that of a cafeteria of a university. The chairs, however, are comfy (at least in the cold season, because in summer the opposite may be true due to their imitation leather cover). Beware of the tables close to the windows when it is cool outside. We had chosen such a table and sat there in a constant draught. Thus, it was quite chilly. The waiter (probably himself the inn-keeper) was friendly and extremely relaxed. He was dressed in a sweatshirt, which gave an unprofessional impression. After having ordered we quickly received our beverages. The dishes took much longer to arrive. But this is alright since everything is freshly prepared and it is mentioned on the menu that due to this fact one has to expect moderate delays. What made the waiting period harder to bear was the fairly loud pop music of a particular kind (though seemingly not Mexican), which due to some technical problem kept fading away and returning after a few seconds and thus was a real nuisance. However, we became reconciled with this restaurant when our dishes were served. We were delighted that everything tasted fine and nothing was excessively greasy. Portions were of ordinary, reasonable size. Considering the far from classy atmosphere of âLa Vistaâ, prices are rather on the high side. It is a pity that the setting of this restaurant is not up to the same standard as its cuisine, because otherwise it could become a real gem.

I have never been to Mexican restaurant before. It was a nice and busy one. Salud is placed just beside the City Arkaden shopping center. It was almost full at noon on saturday, but the service wasn't slow. We had Enchiladas jalapena & Chicken Burrito, both were great and tasty. Every other food looked good too, so we'll come back. During the week you can have lunch only on saturday (in normal time), sinc they opens at 16.00 (expect saturday, when the kitchen strats at 11.30).
Where to eat Mediterranean food in Klagenfurt: The Best Restaurants and Bars
So I got invited by a friend to this little bistro in town. Boy was I surprised... the place has a really nice vibe to it and feels very comfortable. You got this dude dancing behind the bar, nicely serving guests with selected wine, beer and other beverages. Just around the corner you can take a peak in to the kitchen. I donât know what, but something awesome was going on in there, cause the dished coming out looked so delicious. Now the highlight of the evening... For those of you who donât know, Keiserschmarren is a traditional desert here in Austria. Freshly fried pancake, torn in smaller chunks like dish, served warm, with apple sauce and powder sugar on top. Let me confess something to all reading this. I am addicted to Keiserschmarren :)A big thank you and a round of applause goes to the lovely staff of Cafe & Bistro Domino for preparing and serving me the BEST Keiserschmarren I have ever had!
Endlich mal was neues in Klagenfurt. Keine groÃe Auswahl, aber sehr gut und eine nette Atmosphäre. Burrito und Nachos mit Käse sind sehr lecker! Würde mir eine durchgehende Küche wünschen.
