At Casa de Pico in La Mesa, guests can enjoy outdoor patio dining year-round, surrounded by trees, colorful flowers and splashing fountains. Rounding out the Mexican dining experience are the strolling mariachis and famous award-winning giant margaritas.
We met our local friends who highly recommended this restaurant to satisfy our craving for good Mexican food and it lived up to our high expectations. We had to wait for about 20 minutes to be seated for dinner but once we were in, we had great service. Our orders were brought out very quickly and all the food tasted so much better than any Mexican restaurant on the east coast. The margaritas were some of the largest sizes we had ever seen and the food proportions were also on the large side. I don't think anyone in our party were able to finish their plates and we gave all our leftovers to our local friends. I look forward to visiting this place again on our next visit.

Macho's Taco Shop is a very good fast food restaurant for Mexican Food in the Rancho San Diego Area. They have very good tasting Mexican Food dishes here. But for us, their re-fried Mexican Beans are Awesome !. They are the best tasting Beans we have found anywhere. And you know how many Mexican Restaurants there are in San Diego. Another thing that is very popular for customers at Macho's is there Salsa, Chips, and Spicy Carrots table. Where the customers while waiting for their food, can box up all the Salsa, Chips, and Carrots they want to take home with their food order. Very good place with very reasonable prices. Check it out !

This is an excellent buffet that is part of the Sycuan Resort and Casino. It features the typical buffet selections of salad and dessert bars, but the main attractions are seafood and beef. There are hot and cold snowcrab clusters, stone crab claws, langostino, steamed clams, mussels, raw oysters, shrimp, etc., as well as really good prime rib, turkey, brisket and other meats. The Chinese dumplings i sampled were also tasty.Use your Sycuan Players Club card for a discount.
when they first opened the food was better. now cali burrito potatoes are not cooked properly. when we asked what changed we were told to order our burrito with well done potatoes. the potatoes are raw and stick through the tortilla they are not french fries like most places.

This place is awesome! They have potato tacos! But seriously, the food is great, it's fresh and tasty. Make sure to try the large rolled tacos, they don't disappoint. Ask for the chipotle got sauce. Yum. The service was outstanding, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. I will come back for sure. Worth a try!
My wife and I when to the New Poncho's Mexican Food Restaurant in Rancho San Diego today and had a good experience. My wife had the Chilaquiles Rojos for her breakfast meal, and I had the Huevos Rancheros. My wife liked her Chilaquiles Rojos and said they were very tasty and nicely cooked. My Huevos Rancheros were also good. Poncho's has a Salsa Bar where you can get all the homemade salsa you want. Both meals came with rice and beans. Poncho's Mexican Food has only been in the Rancho San Diego location for 4 1/2 months, and the inside of the Restaurant has all new seating, painting, signs, TV's, etc. The Restaurant was spotless clean ! Brenda Marquez the cashier and order taker was very nice, as she answered our questions and took our order. This new Poncho's Mexican Food is owned and managed by Alfonso Gutierrez. Alfonso was also very nice as I asked him questions about his families other 2 Poncho's Restaurants in the El Cajon area, owned by other family members. Nice, Clean and Friendly place, with some good food.

Here at Ranas we offer authentic Mexico City dishes and dishes from the central region of Mexico. We are family owned and operated since 2004.
Sometimes finding a neighborhood restaurant with savory dishes, excellent choices, and great prices that has polite, professional and helpful servers can be seen as a blessing. At Ranas you have all of this in addition to a very clean, safe and friendly environment that is well managed and out performs most other restaurants for a really good and filling breakfast. As well as many mores breakfast's, I intend to enjoy lunch and dinner there for years to come. When you are lucky enough to find a perfect spot that brings you great pleasure, enjoy it as often as you can because memories are just not nourishing enough should opportunities to visit ever end.

arrived at approximately 9 am. seated at table 29 with my wife. after 5 minutes another group was seated next to us. wait staff came out and walked by and started speaking to the other individuals, took the order, then asked us. My wife ordered bacon crispy, it was served barely cooked. I told her to send it back, she said that they would just send her burnt bacon. i did not believe her. when the bacon came it was cooked so long that it looked like burnt pencils. After some prompting my wife informed the supervisor of the breakfast. her scrambled eggs were rubbery and her meal was taken off.To be fair I ordered the John Wayne Omlette and it was cooked very well. my only complaint was that when i requested salsa it took ten minutes and my food got cool and it was served in a small disposable plastic container, but we were not offered or given straws.Thank you for your review, Dorndox. We appreciate it! We are disappointed to read that you and your wife did not love your meals and please know that we will certainly take this into consideration for the future. We do hope to see you again very soon, as we would love to make it up to you!
Hilbertos Mexican Food has been the local Mexican restaurant since 1994. From favorites like their infamous Carrots to the customer inspired Carne Asada Fries, to more traditional Mexican cuisine like tacos and burritos. Hilbertos is serving it. Stop in t
DH usually gets the California Burrito or the Carne Asada Fries. I tend to get the rolled tacos with guacamole (probably mass-produced from some manufacturer ... but this is the only place I get them). We both pig out on the spicy carrots every visit.
