Ordered this pina colada drink. It tasted like water. Instead of giving me a different drink, the manager insisted he could fix it. It came back tasting like a thick syrup. I asked if I could change it to something else. He said if you don't like it you still have to pay for it. Clearly, customers aren't important here! Consequently, this is my last visit! If I could give it zero stars I would.
My wife and I were here to run the Mississippi Blues Marathon and then an ice storm hit - every restaurant downtown closed except this one. We would have gone hungry were it not for Picante's. Very friendly staff, super authentic Mexican food that was very affordable and tasty. We will definitely be back when we can!

Ate lunch here Sunday shortly after church and they were busy. It seemed like they were having trouble serving a full house. Everyone seem to be on edge but this could be a one time thing. I was served my chips and salsa promptly once they got me seated and everything else went smooth. I had the lunch quesadillas and it was a good portion served with some salsa, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. Lunch was good and I will come back.

By far the most consistent, best food, best service of any Mexican restaurant in the Jxn metro area. I eat here almost every week sometimes twice a week. Popular lunch location. Cheap. In and out quickly and it's always...ALWAYS GREAT. Evenings and drinks are just as good.

Presents as a Cuban restaurant with linkage to I luv Lucy, and shows videos on the wall that provides that context. Definitely a popular place. We experienced slow drink delivery and I found that the churasseo was also disappointing. We did also have several of the tapas as part of the group, which were ok. JWigOcn, thank you for your review of Babalu. We are disappointed to hear that your dining experience with us left much to be desired. We would like to continue this conversation with you. At your earliest convenience, would you please email us at [email protected]? Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you.
