Sitting waiting for an hour as the hosts will not seat anyone in a two person table until all parties signed in prior are seated. Meaning we are observing numerous small tables open and the host leaving small parties waiting until a large table opens for the large groups! Total craziness
This new restaurant was reviewed in the local newspaper. It looked good so when we were in Gilmer we gave it a try. There were only two other diners there at 12:00 noon. Not a good sign. We ordered three different lunch specials. All three were good but not outstanding. Really a little bland for Tex Mex but it is Gilmer. I would go back for another try but would not go out of my way. The server was very nice and efficient, That was a plus.
This little cafe in "downtown" Gilmer was a pleasant surprise. Everything else was closed by 5 p.m., so we opted for it. The food was Mexican - very good, and not at all greasy. The waitress was friendly and attentive and our order came out very quickly.
