One of the most interesting things about La Estrella is that it started off as a food truck before turning into one of Garden City's best Mexican restaurants. La Estrella has a very family-friendly atmosphere, the restaurant is clean, the staff is very hospitable, and the food is amazing. You can choose to dine in or order to go if you're short on time. Oh, and the place is open until 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. La Estrella is a good option for those that really like Mexican food or for someone new in town that wants to become familiar with Garden City's local Mexican cuisine.

My family has been purchasing tortillas from this business for over two years. They have the best in town. The tortillas are fresh and taste way better than anything you could find in a grocery store. They also sell other products like baked goods, sodas, Mexican candy, and Mexican snacks. I haven't tried the baked goods but I can guarantee their other products are great.

First time here. The last? Maybe.Was asked about my salsa preference, "Hot, mild or chunky?" Ordered hot, it was (but still had good flavor). Ordered beef fajitas. Side plate had no sour cream or guacamole (I probably could have asked for it and not been charged extra).To each his own, but, the cheese on the plate between the beans and salad was grated Velveeta. Seriously? Maybe they ran short and wa were making do, maybe that's what most of their customers like.

I've had the pleasure of eating at La Cabana on several occasions. I always get the barbacoa tacos. The meat is always tender and spiced perfectly. These ARE NOT your Taco Bell tacos, yuk! These are freshly prepared authentic Mexican street tacos. Some of the best you'll find anywhere! I'll continue to return to La Cabana! $1.50 tacos, enough said!

The food here is always served hot and is very tasty. All the employees are friendly and helpful. Conveniently located next to the Magnson Motel.

I eat here on a regular basis. Does not disappoint. Very good food. Always more on my plate than I can eat, and I have a big appetite. Bulldogs are the best!

Seldom do you see a restaurant that has good food, good service, and good surroundings all at once, but this place has it all. Wait staff was friendly, organized and efficient. Food came with special sauces that made things unique and awesome. Definitely lives up to the ratings.
