Wish I could rave about this place because it has such a pleasant decor, with great service and friendly people. Food wasn't bad but all of the dishes we ordered could use a bit more flavor, just kinda bland. I guess that is what Americans like. Chips were warm and yummy. Prices are reasonable. There is a kids menu with non-Mexican foods which we also ordered from. There is a changing table in the ladies restroom which was appreciated. Might give them another visit and order something different.

We went to this location because we had been to the Chapala location off of Cumberland Road, and enjoyed it.This location seems less crowded, but had the same high-quality food.The menu is varied and anyone that likes Mexican-Mexican or American-Mexican food will find items here to enjoy. The sauces are bold and tasty, the chips and salsa were both very fresh and seemed to be restaurant-made not purchased ready to go.My burrito was filled with lots of goodies and they did not skimp on the meat (I chose chicken, but they also have shredded beef, ground beef, and pork, etc). My wife had a chicken dish that had a little bit of kick, but not too much.The atmosphere consists of bright painted walls with items that you would might bring back from a Mexican vacation. The night we were there it was not overly crowded, but with the fair grounds and baseball field across the street, there may be times when this place is really busy.There are multiple Chapala Mexican Restaurant locations in the Boise-Garden City area, and we have not been disappointed yet.

The service was great and the place was clean. We had enchiladas with crispy taco on the side. It was delicious with a green tomatillo sauce, it all was good. Would recommend.
