We had a large group (@10) mid-week who met for dinner. We were accommodated easily and received our food very quickly. They have a full bar.Chips and salsa were great. Everyone seemed pleased with their meal. Prices are reasonable. Because of the large group, tip was added in. Handmade tortillas!

This diner caters to locals, truckers and street prostitutes along Motel Row in west Fresno. Just off State Route 99 on Olive Avenue, this diner offers an assortment of food including burgers, traditional breakfasts and Mexican style food. After hearing a lot of good things about the place, I decided to pay them a visit. As others have stated, its a very busy place. I almost walked out because it was so crowded. The service is frantic but efficient. I ordered a burrito and my wife had an egg and hash-brown plate. The burrito was nothing outstanding, with tough meat and rather bland. My wifes' plate was oily and she could not finish it due to the greasy pile of potatoes. The eggs were ok. All in all I probably wont be back. Nothing special here. It's ok if you are on a road trip and need to fill your gut. Road food. For all those others saying how fabulous this place is, I have one thing to say. Put a brake on the hype.

Have been to Plaza Ventana on several occasions and have enjoyed each of the menu items that we have selected. Very much enjoy the chips and salsa, while having drinks and waiting for dinner. The have a decent size menu selection and the food is always tasty, they also have a full bar for drinks, but of course if going need to have a Margarita. My favorite dish is the Fajita's and enjoy the way they prepare them, of course everyone has different tastes in what they like, but i like mine spicy, so request them that way. The staff is friendly, but sometime a bit slow, depending on the day and time, overall would recommend Plaza Ventana as one of the better Mexican restaurants in the general area. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, Rod. I am glad to hear you enjoy our food and love our fajitas along with the chips and salsa. I hope to see you again soon.

We had great food and great service. The restaurant was busy, but we got a table quickly. The Waitress was super nice to our two children, talked to them and brought us more napkins. Had the taco salad which was wonderful! Would go back in a second.

Friendly service and good margaritas. Unfortunately, food is only average. Ceviche was more like a chopped vegetable salad, tamales, chili relents and enchilada all had dry meat and were over cheesed - that pretty much described all the dishes. Fast food in a restaurant setting.
If you want ambiance, this is not the place. When you are hungry for the best Mexican food this is the location. The cooking is amazing. I enjoy the perfectly crisp taquitos, the rice is fluffy and never hard or soggy, the enchiladas are so good. Just writing the review makes me want to go there as soon as possible.

My first time here. Loved the cilli verde omelette. They also gave us extra sauce upon request. Seems very popular in the area. People were lining up outside. I enjoyed my meal. Our waitress was also very attentive and refilled our coffee on time.

We are a family owned restaurant celebrating our 75th Anniversary. We offers good food and our brand of Mexican hospitality. Our Fresno location features a year round patio that can seat 80 people and up to 100 for Stand-Up Mixers. Additional services inc
Stopped in for a late dinner with my manager while in Fresno for business. Primarily we chose based on proximity to hotel and our desire to feed our bellies quickly without succombing to the convenience of fast food drive-thru after a long day of travel. From outside appearances, doesn't appear to be much more than your typical strip mall mexicano dive, but when inside there was a simple warm cocina familiar feel to the place. The waitress was friendly, helpful and attentive. Her recommendation when asked about a meal that was not too heavy yet filling she suggested the Ensalada Eleanor (hold the crema), which I must say was delicious and left my previously empty belly satisfied without being "demasiado". Definitely recommend if you are looking for fast friendly service, good food, decent prices and someplace not overly crowded.

We have been travelling in the US for 10 weeks and this was by far the best Mexican food we've eaten. Both the fish and shrimp tacos and burritos were delicious. Very fresh food and very tasty.Don't be put off by the restaurant itself, the food more than makes up for it. Full of locals so it must be good. If you want posh, fine dining then this place isn't for you but if you want good, honest, cheap Mexican food then you must try it.
