We stopped at this restaurant for dinner while traveling. We were looking at the menu and my husband asked me if I wanted sizzling steak fajitas. I said they always overcook the meat (for my taste) in Mexican dishes. Our server overheard my remark and stopped to say that I could order the steak any way I wanted it. So I gave it a try and the meat was nice and tender and not overcooked. My husband and I also shared a cup of French onion soup which was very good.

This place is a hidden gem in Farmington, New Mexico. The chips and salsa are one of a kind and the stuffed sopapillas are the best you will find. The chili rellenos are GREAT. This is an adorable restaurant and it is very cozy. There are vintage music machines at each table and they still work. Don't miss out on this spot if you're in the area.

Inside the restaurant they have an adobe facade and the chairs and booths have paintings of Mexican themes. My Wife and I started with a small margarita which was quite potent then we ordered the flautas which came with lettuce, sour cream, retried beans and rice, unfortunately the flautas were burnt at the edges but otherwise tasted good, my Wife ordered churros for dessert which unfortunately were smothered in fake cream and chocolate sauce and I ordered a flan which came the same way and in each case spoilt the dish. The bill was $38.39.

Nothing fancy, but tasty and filling New Mexican. The carnitas was authentic, stringy yet tender. Salsa very spicy. Navajo taco was very large, and tasty, though got soggy as one ate. Not great cuisine, but a good, fun stop.

My family and I were excited to try Los Rios after reading the great reviews on Trip Advisor, so we chose it over all the other restaurants in Farmington. We love to eat out and Southwestern/New Mexican food is our favorite. Unfortunately, our meals were mediocre at best. The food was fairly standard in flavor. It definitely left something to be desired. Additionally, the lunch prices were high for the quality of food received. I gave the place a three rating because the staff were very attentive and friendly. If they had not been, we would have been even more disappointed. We will not return to Los Rios.

We were staying at the hotel this restaurant is in and didnât want to drive after being on the road a lot today. We sat at the bar and got drinks and that was it. The bartender vanished. 2 or 3 other people came and made drinks but ignored us. The bartender came back, wiped the bar right beside my empty glass and then left? My partner went to the front desk to complain and the manager came over to pour me a drink, and finally bought us menus after 25 minutes! The taco salad was only half full. Food 2/5. Service 1/5. The other branches in Durango and Bayfield are 100 times better than this one!

From the peach margarita to the shrimp in red sauce with peppers and onions to the salsa and chips! Great! And the service was quick and friendly! Got to stop if you are in Farmington!

Loved it so much...on vacation..that I ate there both nights I was in Farmington! Place is authentic, immaculate; the service was prompt, friendly, accommodating. The green chile was spicy, super delicious, salsa and chips great. All tortillas are homemade and you can tell. They gave free pillowy sopapillas one night. Also sold empanadas, flan, churros and biscochitos. They accommodated me and answered my questions, as I am a vegetarian. Oh and they sell their salsa, tamales, tortillas and more, to go!! Go...now!!! It's fabulous!!

Francisca's was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. It is a small storefront restaurant that serves good food. Albert, the owner's son, met us with a great smile. We were served by Liz and she was great, making sure our drinks were continually filled. We had heard about their Chili Rellenos and my wife ordered them. She took the option of substituting a tamale for one of them. It is served with rice and beans. She enjoyed them both. I ordered Steak Picado, which is sirloin tips with onions, tomatoes, and jalapeno peppers served with fried potatoes and beans. We were offered sopapillas and weren't sure about them. Then we saw Albert bring some to the table next to us and we had to have them. They were little pillows from heaven. All in all, this is a great little restaurant and if you are in Farmington, my advice is to go!!

The food is wonderful with lots of flavor. Was disappointed in the size of portions served. Lunch portions very small so be sure to order from dinner menu. Even dinner portions are smaller. But overall if you want to enjoy the real flavor of the southwest it is an excellent choice for dining.
