Really enjoyed having lunch at this restaurant. Everything, except the hamburger buns, is made from scratch. I had the taco salad and will definitely order it again. Food is ordered at the counter and it is brought to your table. Service was very friendly and helpful.

We had stopped going to Los Arcos for several months due to decline in food quality. My husband wanted to try again recently and we were pleasantly surprised! The setup: still lukewarm, runny, watered-down “queso” (F), salsa (C), spicer salsa (B), chips, and homemade tortillas (A+ on corn!)The entrees: steak fajitas (B) with nice flavor and texture although a bit over cooked and mole chicken enchiladas (B+)with one of the best mole sauces I’ve had in years. The only reason I’d give a B+ is because the chicken wasn’t great. Next time I will try with a cheese enchilada. Or a brick... whatever. Just give me the sauce!Sopapillas: light, fresh, and just cooked. (A)We’ll be back soon. Glad it’s back on the rotation.

I arrived here about 10am during the week. I was instantly greeted and seated. There were maybe 3 or 4 other families eating there at the time. I had a 3 meat omelet with hash browns and it was really good. The service was good and attentive. Its a really nice, modern place, nothing what you'd expect from looking at it from the outside. There have been several places to eat in this little strip shopping center, so I hope this one does well. I will return to try other meals.

Chelinos Mexican Restaurant

Reviewed By Paul K

I visited Chelino’s on a Thursday evening around 7:15pm. The place was very busy, although not full, and I was quickly seated at a table near a corner. A waitress soon visited me, asked what I wanted to drink, and I told her sweet tea. She brought back the tea almost immediately and said I could call her when I was ready to order, but I already knew what I wanted so I ordered on the spot – Camarones a la Diabla (spicy shrimp). A basket of chips was brought to me by a young man, along with salsa and cheese sauce. The chips were huge, half a tortilla (see picture), and they were crisp and good with the salsa, although I didn’t try the cheese sauce. The salsa was interesting as it had finely chopped tomatoes and not much liquid, but the flavor could have been a little stronger. A little later the spicy shrimp came out and the presentation was appealing (see picture); it included rice and beans. I’ve had spicy shrimp all over the United States and this one was a first as it had cactus strips in it and some thin-sliced potatoes on the edge, too. The spicy sauce was wonderful – it had a nice kick but wasn’t too hot. My waitress came by a few times to check on me, and my overall experience here was very good. The prices seem very reasonable, too. I see the restaurant is a small chain and I’d be willing to try other locations to see if they’re just as good.

Alfredo’s is ok. They have recently changed their menu and really increased prices, but the quality of the food seems to be decreasing each time we go. I still love the corn salsa and the glazed sopapillas, but I don’t love paying $15 for them along with a meal I don’t really like. This was probably our last time...

Alvarado's Mexican Restaurant

The standard for Mexican food in Oklahoma is pretty low, but this place does a good job. They have some specialties that are excellent: avocado enchiladas (sometimes the special of the day), chile rellenos, shrimp/avocado salad, tortilla soup. Friendly service by longtime servers and greetings by the owners. Great deals on lunch specials. Giant margaritas served in a tumbler (water glass)! The menu is basically Tex-Mex with a few twists thrown in. I'm sad they moved from their old location by UCO, which was easier to get to, but they seem to be doing OK in the new location on Broadway.

Stand alone on the west side of Broadway near third. Overflow parking to the north and slightly west. Nice, small patio out front seats around 12. When you walk in, it is deceptive in size. There is the main dining area which is maybe a 40 top of tables and booths. Flat screen tvs are everywhere with the obligatory soccer matches ablaze. A separate, roomier dining area is in the back. Kitchen is concealed.Menu is large and very, very Tex-Mex. They have excellent lunch specials. Their strengths are service, salsa and queso. Their queso blanco is excellent, nice and creamy, not watery like many places. Chips are hot and thin and the salsa is served in a large bowl, not a token thimble. A small, very small, queso is included. The rice and frijoles are good but not a strength. Tortillas are fresh. The ground beef in the American burrito is nicely seasoned and of high quality. This place is also known for its drinks and the margaritas are vibrant and massive. I will not have a drink and drive but I may just have to Uber sometime. There is a nice selection of Cervezas as well.Is this the best Mexican place in town? Probably not. It is a very good one that is likely the most fun for adults? Yes. It is also kid friendly however.MSA

Our waiter would remove plates from us even before we were finished. We felt rushed to eat and get going! Food this trip was just okay. Again, the music was very loud. The menu pricing is affordable.Again, Tex-Mex.

If you wish authentic, street food or a food truck experience, this is not the place. If you want expansive, huge menu, kid friendly environs, good choice.Located as a stand alone off of Danforth (north side). Parking is ample and convenient. The interior is huge and broken down into different rooms/sections. Chips are crisp, light, fresh and lightly salted. The salsa is thick, pulpy, fresh and has a nice heat w/ a tiny trace of cilantro I think.Portions are huge. I got the beef burrito withqueso and ranchero. It was massive. There was a small, fresh mexican salad with it. Now, this last order I had was via delievery. So this is reveiw is a compendium of past expereinces as well. The tortilla was very good, moist and held up to the weight of the beef. The black beans were also quite good, slightly firm, and the rice was nicely cooked. Red's is known for atmoshere, making their own tortilla, and value. As stated above, this is an ideal place for families, sports nteams, church groups, etc. It is essentailly a Tex-Mex Interurban.MSAWe really appreciate you taking a moment to leave your feedback for us, Michaela. While we have an expansive menu with large portions, we work hard to make sure each and every item is delicious as well. We're glad you gave us a try and that you enjoyed the chips, salsa, and beef burrito. Hopefully, we can show you the five-star experience next time.Have a nice day,Ted's Management

I feel like the word "Mexican" should be removed from the title. I think people would then not compare to mainstream Mexican restaurants. Salsa was ok, and we did not really care for the cheese dip. My mango chicken was delicious. My husband had a Cuban sandwich. It was great. I had plantains which were cooked very well. The highlight of our meal was the tostones. They were amazing.
