We've eaten at this location MANY times since it first opened. We have been fans of this chain overall and this location in particular. Service here has been always good to great. And for a chain restaurant it's been hard to beat. But recent menu changes have left us disappointed. They stated they changed the menu to focus on what they do best and offer more meat. What they did was remove a lot of good items and shrink the menu choices. My favorite steak option? Gone. All the varied Tex mex dishes they added during the last big menu revamp a few years back? Most gone with only a couple remaining. My guess is it was done to streamline the menu and to cut costs. But whatever the reason it's not a good one. If you want to focus on making certain items better then I'm all for it. But don't throw out the other good options at the same time. This is happening a lot in the chain restaurant industry. It hadn't affected Chilis but now it has. This review is more about the chain overall than this location. The people and atmosphere here are still great and the food was good. But it was not what we wanted or expected on our recent visit. As I mentioned we have visited this location a lot and Chilis in general for years. We now have to rethink that going forward.

Located miles from the beach but with a relaxed beach decor this restaurant has a good mixed menu. A bowl of nacho chips is a standard. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We had the soft shell crab and the short ribs sandwich both specials. Very delicious and well prepared. It was a nice day so the outdoor patio was full. Huge parking. Great lunch experience.

Certainly busy and popular on a Friday night. Service was ok if not without any personality. Tampiqueno special was tasty although the cut of steak was tough it was tasty. The enchilada served with it was outstanding. Friends had enchiladas and fajitas which were plentiful. Chips come unsalted and salsa could be better due to the food being so good. Overall enjoyable.
