Things to do in Decatur
Service was really, really slow; the restaurant was not close to full so one would think service would have been a little quicker. I ordered a taco salad with chicken, my husband ordered the Three Amigos. The taco salad was a tortilla bowl with chunks of chicken, some shredded lettuce topped with sour cream - no tomatoes, no cheese and the lettuce was hardly there. My husband said his dish was good, but he had to ask twice to get some tortillas to eat it with. We had several different servers come by the table, so it seemed like no one had assigned tables and people were just catching whatever table they felt like waiting on.
This place is a must. A lunch plate could feed 2 people easily. The menu was in Spanish, but our wonderful waitress provide us with English menus too. They don't bring you the typical chips and salsa, you get homemade chips and a bean dip that was really good. The tortillas appear to be homemade also and they don't just give you 2 like most places in Decatur. If you are looking for a more authentic Mexican meal, you need to try La Monarca.

Out on a ride and we were all hungry so we stopped here...bright atmosphere as most Mexican restaurants do, we were quickly waited on & ordered drinks...I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita...it wasn't frizen at all, but cold runny liquid....but it tasted good so I drank it...I ordered a chicken quesadilla that was really good...we all loved the salsa & we all enjoyed our food & the speedy service..if I'm ever back in the area I'll stop again
My husband and I enjoy the mexican fare we get when we visit La Hacienda. Great fajitas, great cheese dip, great enchiladas. Oh, and really good margaritas :) Overall a very good spot to sit and dine.

Had a later dinner after a meeting with friends. Shared good times and wonderful dinner. Mexican cuisine with the best fresh salsa and chips.
This is a relatively small family owned restaurant. Juan and his family run it and it is a favorite with the locals. Friends brought us here to their secret favorite Mexican restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. We got different dishes, but everyone loved, what they got. Service, was quick and friendly.

The margaritas were very tasty served with the warm chips and spicy salsa. The food was delicious and the portions were more than enough....plenty for the next day . Prices were very reasonable. When back in the area, we will definitely return.

We had dinner here on June 19. Great food! Took leftovers home for another meal. Lots of food and great frozen margaritas. All seemed clean and well run. We will be back. Highly recommend the burrito meals and the fajitas. Service was prompt and the server went out of his way to keep checking on us.

We were starving. Saw this place and remembered it used to be a steakhouse back long ago. We popped in near death from starvation. Lol.Service was great. Chips were fresh, salsa was just right. We ordered our normal meal for any TexMex... Chimi beef, with no beans. Rice and salad came with it.Mrs. got cheese quesadillia with steak fajitas. Everything was perfect. We had WAY more food than we could ever eat. I finished the chimi but little else. The salad was huge and filled with lettuce, cheese, onions, croutons, chips, tomatoes, cucumbers and a huge bowl of a wonderful home made O&V mix. Lunch was inexpensive. I think we left a 20 dollar tip for a 17 dollar meal. We felt like cheapskates at that. Service was just the best ever. We look forward to going back next time we are in the area.

We love this little Mexican place! Their tamales are on point. The red is seasoned well and are not like fire balls! Warning the green tamales are SPICY! Love them. Favorite item is the pollo torta, it is perfect and the bread is amazing! My daughter LOVES the cheese dip and the chips are homemade! Itâs a great lil drive thru or you can eat under the canopy. The people are friendly and give great customer service. I highly recommend this place!
