While talking about good food and how most restaurants have raised their prices while serving less, Gloria's was recommended as having good food and serving up a nice portion for a fair price so we went the same day.The restaurant is quite dated with wobbly chairs that make you think they could fall apart at any time. We were seated right away with chips & salsa brought right away. The chips were hard and the salsa a little on the hot side which was disappointing. The server came and took our order, she was very pleasant and attentive. The carnitas were not at all fresh, in fact, you could tell they were reheated and the taste was so blah that the "hot" salsa that came with the chips made the carnitas easier to eat. The rice was better but a little on the salty side. The meat served as steak picado looked reheated and dry and unlike any other I've seen but Mom said it tasted good so you can try it if you will....Papa said the sope, tostada & enchilada were different but good so he was content and really hungry and ate all his food. The hand made tortillas are what sealed the deal for my parents so they'll be back, not me....The service was great, prices fair and portions big.
We had a lunch time celebration in the office and ordered El Pollo Loco chicken with salad, salsa, churros, mac & cheese and mashed potatoes with lots of tortilla chips and tortillas. The chicken was pretty good and not dry. The service was prompt and on time.
No soy mexicano, pero e estado dos veces de viaje en Mexico y de todo lo que probé en Estados Unidos este sitio si tiene el sabor correcto, me hubiese gustado más opciones de salsas picantes pero todo muy bien
Show is good and funny, even though sometimes the interpreters get too close to the audience and then some of them sell their merchandise and you feel uncomfortable turning them down. Food is a little overpriced and not too much selection. Good place for dancing and had good mariachi. Worth going once in a while, I wouldn't go every weekend
We were just stopping through after a hotel stay in the area and wanted breakfast burritos so we decided to try here. It's a standard tiny Mexican food stand but the burritos were awesome! My husband got his with the red salsa and it was super spicy - but he still enjoyed it.
This was a good place to get lunch. The service was very quick! I would go here again when we come into town!
I was surrounded by three Mexican restaurants in this mall area and decided on the local small business outfit. What a good choice because the food was tasty and plentiful. I had the veggie burrito. The tortilla wrap was moist but yet sturdy to hold up the fillings. I also had a quesadilla and that was pan fried with guacamole and just to thw right crispness to my taste. There was also a pickled spiced salad bar with the sauces and that was a good filler to the start of the meal. The staff was excellent to handle my questions about the various dishes.I enjoyed the experience and the food. A definite recommendation to try out in Bell Gardens.

Please don't be discouraged for the location. They have valet parking at weekends and the BEST Best Chile en Nogada!! Remember the famous movie called "Como Agua para Chocolate" where they have Chile en Nogada, well here you find them at its best setting! Too bad that I couldn't get the recipe!!! As a Mexican American I know what is really a good Mexican food and here Ramiro and Jaime really know what they are doing! Couple years ago I visit for the first time with friends and they were very pleased with the food and service. Love to hear that they don't serve burritos and tacos which is most of the non-Latinos know about the Mexican cuisine. The only thing that I don't like is that they extended the restaurant area and a crafts store was added. I am not against our Mexican traditions but when I want to eat I don't want to be distract by the anything else. Love the wall with the pottery pieces and during my last visited I inquired about a painting that was on display but too bad it was out of my reach. I have stopped multiple times to get Enchiladas al Mole which are delicious too! Once I saw a television anchorman there and this is a place to find a well diverse clientele. The Chefs are very charming and once I saw one that waved at me from another table. they serve Cetto Wines which are from Baja. Very acceptable. Try el café de Oya with a cinnamon touch. Delicious.. I am hungry now.. Enjoy Amigos !

The folks at El Pescador take Mexican food and ramp it up to a delicious art form & do it with style and authenticity. Extensive menu of favorites and specials welcomes you to the great food that's coming. Have a drink too, if it's after work! You'll enjoy. ...
