We came here on a Monday evening around 5:30pm. What a bright, happy decorated restaurant! Happy hour brought us two Margaritas each. For our meals we chose Carne Asada (strip steak), Veggie Burrito, and their Filete Culichi (which is fish served with a delicious sauce with mushrooms, peppers, etc. It was fantastic! Our bill for 4 of us came to $66 before tip.

Great choices for build your own meal. Clean, convenient, ample servings and nice servers. I built my own plate and had a good choice of items. All were fine.

House margaritas weren't the best. HATED the brownish-red salsa. Taco salad ok. Husband's green Chile plate was good. Cousin had the ceviche which looked good. Friends had dishes that seemed fine. Our waitress must have had a bad day, as she was a bit impatient with us. All-in-all, if you were not too picky it would be all right, but not great.

This restaurant recently opened in one of the incredible restaurant spots near Safeway in Conifer. Although word of mouth reviews were mixed, I gave it a shot. The views from the deck are really great though the traffic noise from 285 is annoying at times. Still, sit out on the deck and take in the mountain views. I'd heard that this place was a "Mexican restaurant" but it's really a pub-like place with a somewhat limited menu of burgers and sandwiches and Mexican options. My burger was a bit overcooked but not so much that I didn't enjoy it. It just wasn't medium rare. But, a peanut butter hamburger was something I had to try. It was good but it would have been even better with a bit less time on the grill. My vegetarian friend seemed to have some trouble ordering even though they offer some vegan cheese. It was a bit odd. The staff are very nice but seem to require a bit of additional training. But this is a new place and I want it to do well. I'll certainly give them another try in the future.

"The Best Mexican Restaurant in the Conifer Area!" Top Shelf Margaritas Can't Be Beat! Mountain Folk Owned and Operated!
What made this meal great was friends! Margarita was done right, chips and salsa were fine. Friends raves about their margaritas. Small combination plate with cheese enchilada and tostada was okay. Very bland no spice to it. Husbandâs fajitas contained very grisly meat. Waiter was attentive. Surprised he asked what kind of tostada. ( Iâve only known about bean.) Restaurant busy when we left.I guess being from NM leaves me with high standards for food and this wasnât it.To be fair, Susan, I wish we could have made a better impression when it came to your meal. We're all about authentic Mexican food, so your waiter would have been more than happy to follow up with the kitchen if you noticed anything off. That being said, I'm glad you and your friends enjoyed catching up over margaritas! Hope to welcome you back next time you're visiting from New Mexico -- I know we have what it takes to earn your five stars.Until then,Scott Phillips, Owner
