Find out what Mexican restaurants to try in Columbus. Columbus is an unincorporated community located within Mansfield Township in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP Code 08022. Most of Mansfield Township's governmental offices are located in and around Columbus. It is also the main business district in the township with many businesses lining the main roads in the area. It is located at the junction of County Route 543 (which passes east and west through the area) and U.S. Route 206 (US 206) which is a major highway that heads north and south. US 206 originally passed through the center of Columbus on Atlantic Avenue and New York Avenue until it was moved to a short four-lane bypass of downtown in the late 1950s/early 1960s. The old surface route became state-maintained New Jersey Route 170 but became a county-maintained road (Burlington CR 690) in 1986.

Stopped in for a late lunch this past weekend after looking for some Mexican food options online. Service was good. I would have liked to have a bit more spice in my entree. Prices were reasonable. Ambiance was nice and authentic.

When we heard rumors of a Mexican restaurant coming to the Columbus area we started driving by the location and watching the progress as it was built. We were there on the first weekend it opened and have been back at least four more times. So you can guess that we like what we found.First impressions are important. The atmosphere and decor is all artistically crafted and imported from Mexico. Look around and appreciate the colorfully designed decor. Next you'll be greeted by a friendly welcome, it was Victoria who greeted us on most visits. Everyone is friendly so that's great impression number two.The menu offers a nice variety of options including fish, shrimp, pork, beef, etc. There are at least five different sauces available each with a different degree of spiciness. I like hot sauces that are also flavorful and they have a few. For those who prefer milder they have that also. Ask your server and I'm sure they'll offer you the best advice for your preference. There are complimentary chips and salsa brought to your table while you read through the menu. The food was served in a very timely manner and we never felt rushed through the meal. It is a BYOB for those who choose to do so.The seating is comfortable and fairly spacious whether it is a table or booth. Each time we have been there the parking is convenient and there's plenty of it.If you've been waiting for a local Mexican restaurant then I suggest giving the Mexican Grill a try. I hope they prosper and are around for a long time.

We stumbled on this place while looking for parking for another local restaurant. Mexican is one of our fave cuisines, but hard to find authentic and freshly prepared. We do not do chains.Enjoyed enchiladas rojo, Burrito Ahogada and chimichanga. Only entrees come with chips and salsa, but was enough for 3 of us to share. Our waitress was super friendly and handles some minor issues with humor. We will be back- price is right and BYOB!
