Salón Corona is a tradicional restaurant located in the Mexico City´s heart, where you can taste the original flavor of mexican gastronomy as tacos, tortas, seafood, draft beer and more. Salón Corona is a must if you´re visiting México since 1928.
We were in downtown near the big church and Chinatown and happened upon this wonderful mexican eatery called "Salon Corona" Loved the friendly atmosphere and the staff, The food was fresh El Pastor tacos and of course my favorite Negra Modelo beer.Music videos on screens playing and it was a great place to run inside and wait for the torrential rains to subside.Ate here twice! and will go again.

Read about this place here, on TA. So walked the Short distance from the Barcelona hotel. Was greeted soon as I walked in the door. Thankfully the waiter spoke very fluent English!!Sat at a table looking over the intersection. Great people watching. Ordered a cucumber water, 3 Pork Pastor tacos and a Beef steak torta. Delicious!!

This is a busy little local cafe, I think for lunch and breakfast especially. We each had a cafe con leche, tamales rojo con cerdo, and shared an apple strudel. The tamales were really good, as was the apple strudel. Coffee was decent, and the friendly waitress topped it up often for us. On that note, all of the staff were very friendly. I think I saw cafe de olla on the menu, but it wasn't available at the time (we were there in winter, when most places offer it). Great service and a good place to go if you want a Mexican style breakfast.

Easy walk from Zocolo area. Excellent food. We had tamales and flautas, both of which were very good. Vegetarian postole was loaded with flavorful veggies. Service was a little spotty, and it helps if you speak a little Spanish. Churros were very good, contrary to previous review. Prices are incredibly cheap for Americanos. Entire dinner for two with tip only about $15 dollars U.S. I would recommend.

The feel of a tourist restaurant....an overbearing maitre who changed once he undertood that we were fluent Spanish speakers. Tries a chile nogada, once a lifetime, meat was good. Flan was better!!!Loved the locale, untouched for years. Any restaurant that has live music is a must for us.

Number 1 Classic mexican mariachi place for locals with grate ambiance, food, tequilas and much more. Juan I. Hernandez merchant from Cocula, opens Salon "Tenampa" in 1925, with "Mariachi Coculaâ and "Mariachi Reyes". This is how Musical Garibaldi Square
We arrived around 9:30 pm on a Sunday night. Some of the nicer looking restaurants were already closing their kitchens, hence we unfortunately ended up here...... We ordered the taquitos mixtos and the flautas. Everything on the menu was ridiculously overpriced with these two items costing 95 and 80 pesos respectively. I wouldn't have minded paying inflated prices except that this was the kind of Mexican food that gives you explosive, unrelenting diarrhea. Disgusting visuals? You're welcome. The service was sooo bad it became a joke to us. Our server was obviously very tired so she was extremely disinterested in our needs. The only thing she wasn't disinterested in was calculating her automatic tip when we called for our bill. I will say that the beers were cold and the margaritas on the rocks, though obviously made with a margarita mix, were tasty. In any event, there are so many choices of restaurants in this location - Do yourself a huge favour and choose somewhere else. You're welcome.

We went to Terraza for dinner. The views are amazing but the restaurant is open air so if the weather is chilly, dress appropriately. The basic idea is that you pick something from the grill menu then have unlimited access to the salad bar or you can order some sides (and pay for these). We found it extremely pricey. The chicken breasts / steaks were good and served with a salsa made at your table (this was a nice touch). The salad bar isnât great though and for the price the options were random and poor.Pop by for a drink and enjoy the view.
