I was in the Chihuahua area for the third time. Everyone said we had to go downtown to see the lovely Cathedral area. Meson de Cathedral offered a wonderful outdoor dining experience. The service was top notch. The dinner was perfectly prepared. I had a tasty steak while many of my companions had more traditional Mexican fare.

It was a place very visually boring. The food was good, but just that. Nothing different or that could make a exception. The services was good, eficcient but the people was with a unhappy face.

*Only 5 minutes from the cities historical center by taxi.*The restaurant was clean with subdued lighting and many interesting photos & historical items on the walls.*The staff and waiters were attentive, friendly and bilingual.*The menu was limited mainly to meat with steaks being their signature offerings.*Serving portions were large.*I had guacamole dip, tortilla soup and a rib-eye steak with a baked potato. Everything was flavorable and perfectly prepared.*I had an Indio beer and a glass of rose wine which went well with my meal.*The prices were responsible.I recommend this steakhouse to someone looking for a good steak dinner when in Chihuahua.

It is the best known upper scale restaurant by the locals and probably the oldest, so it is a very traditional place for business and celebrations of all kinds. The menu is mostly regional, specialized in steaks, but there is a decent variety of dishes and nice desserts. Service is good, but is sensibly better if you are a regular.I really like the consistency in the steaks and the cooking in general.

We went to ENRIZOS For lunch, they serve traditional chihuahua's dishes. They make in front od you, right before serving them, flour tortillas, a rare delicacy nowadays. The chihuahuan cuisine is based on dehidrated Chile, Chile Pasado; you'll find it there; also rajas de Chile con queso; a California type Chile with cheese, and our beloved Chile colorado, or red Chile. The service is based in the traditional northern culture, simple and true People. VERY good prices. They've started VERY Small and due to their quality, they have now 5 locations. It is the favorite place for good breakfast. Their Orange juice is 100% natural. Enjoy it.

We had very nice and long lunch here. Since we were quite a few people, we ordered starters and steaks to share. Hence, tried quite a few different dishes. All the starters were excellent, in particular the ones with shrimps, the sauce was fantastic. Several types of steaks came along. Some were better than the others, but very good overall. I must say desserts were nice too, although the size of each was enormous. You can easily share one between 3-4 people. Of course, sotol came along at the end. We had a good time! Recommended!

It looked good going in— great location, beautiful interior, smartly uniformed staff, nice looking menu (in English... disco background music...hmmmm). Downhill from there.. food a series of disappointments, wine worse, service rushed, and—grand finale, the bill was insane..puffed up with an $80 charge for the unpriced house red, numerous “math errors”, phantom courses— the full range of tourist clipjoint tricks. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone other than an undercover tourist policeman.
