We visited this restaurant on a Friday when we prefer to eat fish and vegetarian food. We had mozzarella sticks and a cod fillet. Nothing special, but OK.

We serve fresh made from scratch Mexican and American Food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Had lunch at Abuelitas on the way to Alamogordo, what a pleasant suprise, the chips and salsa were stellar chips light and crispy and the salsa had just the right blend of spices. The red chile enchiladas were some of the tastiest I have had in quite awhile. The chile could have been hotter but the flavor was worth the drive. If you find yourself in Carrizozo stop and try Abuelitas you won't be sorry
Family owned and operated. Serving a variety of breakfast and lunch meals all day. Made fresh everyday.
This place looks like not much. Don't expect decor or ambience because you won't find any. But do expect good basic food. We split an order of green chile cheese fries with bacon and it was super with crisp fries, spicy, but not too hot, and big chunks of bacon.
