We ate at four different Tahoe City restaurants on our vacation, and liked this one the best. We had an outdoor balcony view of the marina and lake, and had friendly and fast service. The food was delicious, and on a Wednesday evening, it was busy. We were able to walk in though, and our wait was very short. It is located in the Boatworks Mall, an easy walk from anyplace within Tahoe City.It has a full bar and I imagine this is a great place to eat lunch as well. The enchiladas, chile rellenos, tacos, and shrimp fajitas were very good, and most plates are served with rice and beans. There is an extensive menu of Mexican inspired food, all of which was served in good sized portions.
We are located in Kings beach on Lake Tahoe. We specialize in very fresh and sustainable product serving burritos, tacos and salads. We also have a very nice seating area inside and a patio out back.
Aptly named, Burrito Window, this D'Lish Catering hole in the wall is a local favorite. There are a few picnic tables outside and a couple of small tables inside, but mostly take out. We saw all sorts of locals--some really nice Firefighters who ordered by phone and picked up their food and ate at the picnic table. They only sell burritos and tacos, but really healthy, all home made, nicely priced. It is a great find. It sits 50 yards off the sidewalk but their sign is on the street.

Ok we hadnât seen each other in two years so there we were outside a small Mexican restaurant when we decided to check it out. So the 8 of us went in and were so glad we did. The ingredients were fresh and individually prepared for each order and we each ordered differently so we had a great opportunity to try a wide range of menu items and we all agreed - the food was excellent- plentiful, tasty, and reasonably priced. It is a small spot, but has an outside seating area to add to your seating options. Everything was great, but I must say the shrimp dishes were amazing. Loved this spot & would definitely do it again if we ever are back in Truckee!

Lupita's across from the village post office in a shopping center catering more to local residents than tourist is very popular. Taco adobada was tasty and the shrimp diablo put out heat. On a weekend night large groups gather for tasty, authentic, affordable food and drinks. The noise level can be loud with boisterous groups.

For years we've visited Tacos Jalisco for take-out burritos, but recently the menu has expanded and there's some attractive seating outside. On our last visit we got relllenos that were the best we've had anywhere in a long time -- not over-battered, good chile flavor. Also cheese enchiladas, again with excellent flavor of the cheese, the tortillas and particularly the sauce. And the burritos were, as always, large, generously filled and tasty. We love our take-out, but this is now a nice enough place (at least in summer) for sitting with a beer and a meal. We have been fans of La Mexicana nearby, but our recent experience there was underwhelming at best. La Señora (who does it all herself -- don't be in a hurry) at Tacos Jalisco is at the moment the best bet for authentic, tasty Mexican food in the area.

This was our 2nd time here in a few years. Remind me not to go here again. It was the same disappointment each time where the dishes were way overpriced and the food was only less than average. The service is not great either. The wet burrito was way too wet and had hardly any chicken inside. I could not find many beans in the nachos. For the price you pay you expect more.

We didn't eat here, even though we wanted to. Walked in and there were plenty of empty tables-Quite a few actually. We were told it would be an hour and a half to get pizza as that's how long the oven takes. What??? Ridiculous. Went to Whitecaps Pizza instead and it was great (and only half hour or less for pizza and the place was packed!)

Perfect place to grab a quick, affordable bite...We ended up getting some food for breakfast and going across the street to the beach and park.. The huevos rancheros were good ...The breakfast burrito was really big... Could be split between two people...The nachos were enjoyed by our kids .The place is really small.. there is plenty of parking..They have a little store attached...We would go back ..
