From the outside, adorable. But all the goodness ends there. My son and I recently popped in for a quick bite but disappointment was served. My son summed it up best: âthe tacos taste like cardboard with cold meat. The cheese tastes like feta, which is confusing because you briefly think you may have wandered into a Greek restaurant. This place is horrible and not worth a single dollar, which sucks because the tacos cost a s***-ton of money. Oh, and the quesadillas are one of the worst Iâve ever eaten. I would rather have cafeteria food.âI guess we wonât be back.

This was my first time to this 1970 throwback restaurant. There are two signs hanging in the parking lot advertising a soon to be new location. Based on how weathered the one sign was, progress must be slow. Note that I did drive past the ânewâ place a couple week after on my way to Route 81. It looked a long way from being ready. The night I was there turned out to be taco night, $1.35 each for hard or soft shells, beef or chicken. Also, they offered Yuengling on draft for $1.50. I was started with complimentary chips and salsa which were both decent.I ordered both the beef and chicken tacos for an appetizer and the beef and chicken fajitas for my entrée. Neither tacos were that good, however the beef were better than the chicken which was dry and tasteless, needing some Tapatio sauce. The beef was not as dry and had some flavor. The fajita dish had plenty of peppers and onions but not as much beef or chicken as I expected. The strips of beef were tough and the chicken more tender. I would say about 70% was onions and peppers, disappointing. The sides such as guacamole, etc., was sparse. The re-fried beans were supermarket canned quality. The rice was decent.

We eat at this Chipotle twice a week at least. The food is good and fresh and the staff is always friendly. I really feel at home when Iâm there. The manager once even gave us a little card for a free bowl when we had to wait less than 15 seconds for a staff member to take my order! I laughed thinking he was kidding but sure enough he gave me one. I guess it payed to be a friendly customer
Actually light years better than the old Carlisle location. We had quit going to old location because it was dark and scary. The new Carlisle El Rodeo is clean and the dining room has a nice Mexican restaurant feel. Bright colors and deeply carved chairs and tables. The restaurant and menu remind me of an old chain of restaurants called Chi-Chiâs.They offer a nice variety of combination platters and sizzling fajitas. The portions are very generous.Prices are very reasonable. They offer nice Mexican style deserts like fried ice cream and flan. They have full bar service and a good variety of beers and ales. (I love their frozen margaritaâs.)They have a good amount of free parking near to the door. (As of September 2019, the bridge construction on East High Street somewhat restricts access to the parking lot from High Street. It may be easier to enter the lot from South Spring Garden Street until the construction is completed.)
